Two owners ago, this place was as a neighborhood hot spot: good Italian fare, reasonably priced. One owner ago, it was mediocre... but still worth ordering from. Under the present owners, the food tastes like Italian food cooked by someone who?s never eatenItalian food. Everything is overcooked to the point of tastelessness or drowned in oversaucing. Or both. Don?t waste your money- and if these guys can?t make a go of it, maybe we?ll get someone who can cook hearty Italian in that space again. I want so much to give Pasto Vino a good review because my family has come here for many years but lately it is in decline. On... my latest trip the food was mediocre, the service was slow and the server was borderline unfriendly. The staff acted like it wasan inconvenience to seat and serve us. We ordered from them via DoorDash. They offer the option to order the ravioli gluten free option for an upcharge. My husband... ate this and it is MOST DEFINITELY NOT gluten free. If it?s wrong on the menu than they should have called us to tell us?notjust accepted the upcharge and sent us food that was not as represented and has now made him sick. We chose this restaurantspecifically because of the gluten free options and his portion of the meal, including delivery was $40?$40 for him to get sickbecause they couldn?t have cared less to call us and tell us it was not something they could do despite accepting the upchargefor it.
