I don't even LIKE pancakes and these blew me away. My friend invited me here for brunch, claiming it was one of her favorite... spots at Ponce City Market. It was a good thing we got here early because it seems many others in the area think similarly.Despite the name, there's a good variety of brunch items available, including a few non-breakfast items. But I couldn't come toa place that calls itself the 'Pancake Social' without ordering a pancakes, so I got myself a small stack of the blueberrybuttermilk pancakes. They are - in a word - delectable. Even before I allowed any syrup pours, I knew these were some of thebest pancakes I'd ever had. I'd also ordered a side of grits, which turned out to be the best grits I've ever tasted in arestaurant. I ordered them without cheese, yet they were incredibly savory and creamy. My only complaint was that there was fartoo little of it; I wanted an entire bowlful more and unashamedly scraped my little shallow plate clean. The service we gotfrom Kenya was warm, friendly, with just enough check-ins without being overbearing. The food came out more quickly than weanticipated and the service was incredibly efficient, but we never felt pressured to vacate our seats. On a Sunday morning, wewere told the wait for a table would be about thirty minutes, but it ended up being far less. My first time at Pancake Social. We ordered egg?s benedict, lemon and ricotta pancakes and a side of fried buttermilk... chicken. The Chicken was lightly breaded and very flavorful! I?d go back just to try it again and get a full order. The egg?sBenedict was nice but the hollandaise wasn?t as balanced as it could have been. Being translucent and not as creamy as I?m usedto. The potato pancakes it came with were crunchy and very good. I?d like the English muffin a bit more toasted. But overallstill a good example of the dish. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon was very lemony! Id go for a different stack next timebut worth a try. The service was great! I love how you order at the counter and they bring your food out. This was my second go round at Pancake Social and I must say it blew me away. Shar, the manager is fabulous and her service is... impeccable. Friendly and professional and offered the best recommendations. We tried the Lemon Ricotta pancake which wasamazing. The chicken & waffles is lovely, chicken is well-seasoned and one of the best fried chicken I had in Atlanta. TheBanana pancake was delicious and super filling, and the PS Plate was bomb. The eggs came out perfectly as I ordered and the foodwas hot and prepared well. I was very impressed. The drinks were great too! Peach mimosa is nice and the ginger drink they havewas perfect for that hot day. Def going back. Read more
Definitely get the Chicken and Waffles. It's worth repeating get them seriously!! The flavor blew my mind, the other two items... we had were average, the beignets were not to our liking and the French toast was typical fare but the Chicken did I mention wasout of this world!! Read more
Great experience! We were seated relatively quick even though there was a 40 minute wait (within 10 minutes). Our drinks were... brought out quickly. Even though they were busy we got our food right away. I ordered the chicken and waffles and French toastbecause I?m greedy. My husband ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes and beignets (a must try). The chicken was seasoned toperfection and the waffles tasted like fluffy funnel cake, if that makes sense. Overall, five star experience! Read more
Yum- We had some pancakes and the Chicken & Waffles. Great flavor and seasonings on the Chicken and Waffles and the syrup was... delicious! I would definitely get it again. Such an adorable place to have breakfast/brunch if you?re around Ponce! First of all, hello, the decor is absolutely gorgeous.... Your selfies are super Instagram worthy. Next up, the food. Yum. We both enjoyed our plates, but mostly importantly, these gritsare to die for. Although I don?t personally enjoy a sweet breakfast, they have tons of variety so there?s an option for anyone.And can we talk about the price? For this area, the food is extremely affordable and filling so it is an awesome deal as well. Ahidden gem in this area but well worth the visit! Some of the best pancakes I?ve ever had?light, fluffy, not very thick, absolutely delicious. Over-easy eggs were right on point,... scrambled eggs were yummy, grits were ?wow?, and bacon was meaty and not greasy!!! Highly recommend pancake social?you won?t bedisappointed. Read more
