I had the open faced salmon sandwich (salmon toast). It was pretty good and reasonably priced. The staff was extremely... friendly! My only gripe is the speed of service. A little pricey, but very good, carefully prepared foods. The open-face sandwiches (really it's just fancy toast) are... legitimately good. For about $15 you can pick up a moderately satisfying meal. I usually get an open face sandwich and a cup ofsoup. The space is very modern yet cozy, and the staff is patient and ready to explain or elaborate on anything. This was my first visit in an attempt to stay out of the rain... The food was decent, although I didn't care much for the tomato... soup. Given the small portions, the price is very high. (I miss the old cafe where I could get a simple egg and cheesesandwich on a bagel for $3.) The staff also seemed bored, given the lack of business, and weren't very professional or polite. Outstanding food served quickly from a tiny menu. The prices have improved with subsequent menus and weekly specials.
Really love their open face sandwich selections (cream cheese peach preserves is my fave) and they have an awesome turkey... sausage parmesan soup. Food was good, but like many others I thought the price was high for what it is. I was there with 5 others yesterday for lunch... and the reception we received from the person taking our order was not good at all. She don't seem to be very happy that we arenot familiar with the menu or how to order. I don't think we will be back. Read more
Simple, walk-up food counter by Atlanta chef Kevin Gillespie. The coffee is quite good. The food flavors are spectacular.
