Loved this little restaurant with a small Cafe attached. Sat down in the main dining area, indoors. All ordering is done on your... phone/on-line. Got the pork Ramen and hubby got a beef noodle dish. We also got the crunch spicy tuna, which threw us offbecause the tuna came on "blocks" of crisped rice, not as a roll. Was a little difficult for me to eat, but was good! I love coming to momonoki!!! I've been here multiple times and it always satisfies. Today we got three sandos (pork cheese,... beyond, shrimp), spicy miso tsukemen, and the pork yuzu shoyu ramen. All of it tasted amazing and full of flavor. The beyondsando tasted like a real cheeseburger. We also got the iced lemon coffee soda and it was so good!! Hard to describe the taste,but it was extremely refreshing. Also got a Mexican coke but it tasted a little off. When I ordered the pork cheese sando, Ithought there would be more cheese inside like the online order form; when I asked the staff about it, they quickly offered toremake it for me and also gave us a free dessert due to the wait. The staff was SO NICE and helpful! Really made the experienceamazing. There is indoor and covered outdoor seating available. 10/10 for presentation no question. The food was very good. The grain bowl had some kind of sweet gel on it that made the... lettuce slightly sweet, I know not everyone is a fan of that. I ordered the medium spice Spicy Ramen with pork. Pretty good,except for the occasional whole peppercorn/some spice I would eat. Pork has fat on it so it has a soft but nice chewytexture. Honestly the only real thing that could be improved is the water. We were sitting outside and the jug wasn?t empty butyou had to tilt it and position it weirdly to get water. Read more
Update: Staff apologized for the ramen, said that they're working on refining the recipe, refunded the ramen, and offered me... another to replace it. I was really refreshed to see the situation get completely owned like that. Great service recovery, soI've updated the review score to reflect that. Great location and cute interior, but I got absolutely the most unremarkablebowl of ramen I've ever had. I had the Chicken Yuzu and it contained sliced, completely unseasoned white chicken breast. Thetofu was also totally unseasoned. It's like all of the ingredients were just tossed in the bowl absent-mindedly. Read more
I had XL tonkotsu and it tasted terrible!!! First it was not seasoned at all and it contained huge amount of red... peppercorn(This was NOT MENTIONED IN THE MENU) so I was very confused if I was having the ramen or some kind of weird soup thatI had never tasted!!! Best Ramen in ATL so far! Great service, awesome portion, FLAVORFUL ramen, it has the perfect kick to each plate. Wonderful... choices for everyone (vegan, vegetarian, omnivore, gluten free). The Old Fashions were FANTASTIC. They have a full diversebrunch menu. Read more
Poor wait staff service 1/22/22 630pm. Ordered matcha latte and asked server about it twice and she said she'd check on it and... never did. Came back to table oblivious about the tea each time. Had to walk up to the barista counter and get it myself after30 minutes of waiting. Spicy ramen was bland, needed salt badly. Momonoki Tsukemen were 90% batter and 10% octopus bits. Pretty disappointed on all accounts. No way to get refund on tip because you order on your phone with no refund options. Badall around. UPDATE: manager called (unsolicited) to sincerely apologize and refund entire ticket. Entire refund wasn'texpected (Rating changed from 1 star to 4 stars). Good managment staff. Easily one of the best Japanese inspired restaurants I?ve been to! They offer a wide selection of ramen, curry dishes, poke, and... more. I got Momonoki Tonkotsu ramen and it was one of the best bowls of ramen I?ve ever had and I can confidently say that everyaspect of the bowl was done very well with the deep, porky broth, the slightly firm ramen noodles, the juicy chashu pork, andthe perfectly seasoned egg. I also recommend the shiitake nuggets and pork katsu curry which were also both very delicious. Theyalso have a cafe station where you can order desserts and specialty drinks. The employees were also very friendly and the placehad a very chill ambiance. The prices of the food were a little steep but the quality can arguably justify it. Overall, I cannotrecommend this place more and I am looking forward to trying what else they have to offer. Read more
