Celebrated my moms birthday here and we are very satisfied with our dining experience. The oysters were very flavorful but a... tiny bit chewy. The fish and shrimp dish was fantastic. The shrimp and rice dish was also amazing. The house bread was verydelicious. Our server Kimberly was very attentive,welcoming and sweet. Great energy! We absolutely loved our server. Being from Louisiana, I am always super skeptical of restaurants that say they're... a "Louisiana" restaurant. Louisiana Bistreaux did not disappoint. I’ll start off by saying my true rating is 4.5 based on two visits and let me tell you why: First Visit: I came here for... dinner with a friend around 6:15pm on a Thursday -Food: 5/5 came out perfect with how fresh it was made and phenomenal portionsand flavor combo (jambalaya, gator bites, and I forgot what my friend had but he liked it a lot) Service: 5/5 The waitress wasgreat and very attentive and gave great recommendations Second Visit: I came here on a Friday and about a hour before they wereclosing Food: 3.5/5 overall the food was good (but not great like before) and sometimes that happens when it’s getting closerto closing; I had ordered the same food Service: 5/5 the Waiter was very good just like the last waitress I’d definitelycome back but be sure it’s not as close to closing time. First time and last time here. Came in around 5p and there was confusion amongst the wait staff and shift managers. We stood... patiently and were seated in the main dining area. Five minutes later we were asked to move. No problem. We were greeted by ourwaiter who told us all the many items they didnt have available. We were extremely disappointed. We allowed our daughter orderand I ordered some grits as a side just to quench my hungry. This place is sad and poorly run. I love this restaurant!!!! This is one of my favorite restaurant. I flew in from New York and I just had to have a jambalaya,... which was amazing and my friend had their chef’s creation. We had a bridal party dinner and we were all excited to dine here. I’d been to the Decatur location and wanted to compare. The... food was great, work on service etiquette is needed. The food was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. I was pleased withportion sizes as well. Please be sure the servers are holding glasses at the bottom. Our server had her hand around the rim ofevery single beverage she placed on the table. We wanted to send the drinks back but we’re trying not to be difficult. Ofcourse we used straws but still. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Restroom was clean but the soap dispenser didn’t work.If it weren’t for those couple things, you would have gotten 5 stars for sure. This place exceeded my expectations and did not disappoint! My oysters were amazing. The crab cakes were extremely good, I... highly recommend it! My gumbo and meal were delicious and flavorful.
