Lazy Betty was an overall great experience. The food was very good, the service friendly and informative. We opted for the 8... course tasting menu. The cocktail program was inventive and unique. The biggest issue with the dinner was the timing betweencourses. There was a long pause - too long - between many of the courses. Our table was also next to the service area so it wasvery distracting. They were accommodating to my dietary restrictions. I was able to order a trout dish in lieu of the rabbit, and a chicken dish instead of the lamb. The standout dishes for me were the Jonah Crab Salad atop a rich brown butter dashigelee; the Shrimp and Cabbage dumpling and the truffle-glazed diver scallop. The chef and kitchen were obviously very talented.I think with better executed timing it would have been an incredible meal. Read more

Lazy Betty is such a refreshing experience compared to other fine dining in Atlanta. They serve upscale fine dining without the... stiff bougie airs. The atmosphere is inviting. My partner and I enjoyed an 8 course meal with them a couple weeks ago. Thestaff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone clearly loves working there and is “in on it”. It seems the staffand kitchen have a healthy relationship, and it shows in the service. They shared excitement introducing the dishes, as I'm surethe kitchen is to prepare them. Shout out to Grumpy!!! The food was beyond. Well thought out dishes with layers of depth inflavors. They used humble ingredients like corn and peas, but prepared them in such fresh and nuanced dishes. Every single dishwas magical! Every dish was exciting! The cocktails are magnificent too, specially Just Bee Kind. I would list my favoritedishes, but I honestly cannot pick one. Overall, five stars. I would absolutely dine here again and plan on doing so, withnewcomers. Well worth the price. I wouldn't get anything less than the 8 course. If I did, I would be jealous to any tablearound me if I saw what I was missing out on with the 6 course. Don’t sleep on their wine pairings. I’m excited to try theirnext season’s menu. Read more

Once in a while, I like to enjoy a unique meal experience I cannot possibly recreate at home. Our dinner at Lazy Betty was one... of these. If it were located in one of the cities where the Michelin crew reviews restaurants, it would deserve at the veryleast one Michelin star and maybe more... Creativity, quality of ingredients, mastery of techniques, harmony of flavors, presentation, it's all there... Flawless service as well. A truly sublime 8 course tasting menu! Descriptions are included withmy photos. I highly recommend it to my fellow foodies! Only a couple of caveats for full disclosure: It is an odd choice for thechef to include on a fixed menu a dish of sweetbreads. I do love them but not everyone does and my husband could only eat onebite. The music was rather loud and is definitely curated for a younger hipper generation - I am old... Finally, when ourwaitress volunteered some wine suggestions, she only focused on bottles prices at $200 to $400 (service included - but stillpricey). We managed to find a bottle we really liked for much cheaper, because we're cheap and prefer to drink expensive winesat home... These comments didn't take anything away from the overall experience though, and this will remain one of the bestmeals we've had in a long time and a memorable evening. Read more

Best vegetarian fine dining in Atlanta! My boyfriend surprised me with an 8 course meal and wine pairing at the chef’s table... and it was both very upscale and relaxed and fun feeling which can be a hard combo to find. They were very accommodating toboth my vegetarian restrictions as well as my boyfriend’s food allergies. The food was fantastic and I loved learning from thechef and bartender about each dish and wine pairing. I highly recommended Lazy Betty for a special occasion. Read more

Lazy Betty Review Short version: easily the best dining experience I’ve ever had. Long version: I took my girlfriend here... for our anniversary and I have to say it was an amazing experience. We opted for the 8 course meal with the wine pairing whichwas 100% the way to go. If you can score a seat at the bar I would recommend it because you’ll get to watch the chefs inaction. In particular it was really cool for me to see their take on Causa, a classic South American dish. The tuna roll wasanother highlight for me as well. As far as the staff goes, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The chef and waitstaff were incredibly knowledgeable on the various items they served and the ingredients that went in to them. Same goes for thebartenders who provided the wine to pair with each meal. I’ve really never had a dining experience like this and my girlfriendeven said this was the best date she’s ever been on. Suffice it to say, we will definitely be coming back. Read more

Full disclosure: I don't have a go to restaurants like this frequently. I'm not this classy. I can't fairly compare to other... restaurants that serve me eight courses with wine pairings at this price point. That said, there's a reason I've come heretwice. The service is awesome. Everything we ate was fantastic. My fiancé did a wine pairing, I drank three of theircocktails. We were there for a bit over three hours. I went in hungry (it's unlikely you eat more than me, heavily active 200+lbman) and I left satiated despite the serving sizes. We had fun the entire time. Be prepared to spend upwards of $600 for two.You could easily go over that with little effort. Obviously, that's not practical for everyone. We hope to go back for a specialoccasion annually and budget to do so. It's a great experience. Read more

Of all the tasting experiences in Atlanta, this seemed the most overrated. 50 flavors of salt with awkward wine pairings (two of... which honestly made me gag). The dishes were all pretty to look at, but it was surprisingly superficial. I'd be hard pressed torecommend this restaurant to anyone with real taste, especially considering the hefty price. Try if you must, but know whatyou're getting into. Unrelated to the food, the service was great, though the waiters were not overly knowledgeable about thefood or wine. When you have to say "bare with me" before describing a wine, maybe it's not something you should serve during a$90 beverage paring. Update: The icing on the cake, I was up all night with what was likely food poisoning from this meal. Iusually have a pretty strong stomach so something has to go really wrong for this to happen.
