Authentic Jamaican cuisine or so I'm impressed.????????. And they serve BBQ, and a whole gamut of items ???? Which I've only... bought Jamaican: Curry chicken and goat, brown stew. The have a slew of beverages including sea moss You guys are da bomb???????? My chicken curry was so tender, tasty and plentiful, I was eating in hog heaven. Well it was good and maybe I didn'teat with or see any hogs ???????? Definitely worth the price A small and almost hidden place. I highly recommend. My first time here so I just ordered a small oxtails. The service was quick. I came around three on a Wednesday. The oxtails... were soft and not hard. The rice and peas were good and my plaintains were a little hard, but no reason I wouldn't come back. Iwill only be coming here for my Jamaican meals if they keep serving such good food! Read more
I am not sure what happened to this place. I have not been here in a couple of years but I remembered the Oxtails being decent.... I got them yesterday for the first time in a while and I could not even finish them. My man got food from another popularCaribbean restaurant down the street and I refused. I just knew I was going to get some good oxtails from Island Takeaway. I wassorely mistaken. There was no flavor at all. I even had extra gravy and it did not help. Even the rice & peas was lackingcompared to his! I don?t know if the owners changed or the cooks changed but they need to go back to the original recipe. When I went there and it was 7 50 pm and I did asked lady that I need curried goat and said it all gone and only left Oxtails... and it not ever 10 pm yet and that lady who work in cashier and she very very rude because she was talked to the guy and ignoredme..... poor service and no foods and it is no excuse....
