This was my first and last time at this restaurant. The customer service from our waitress was superb, she was great. The... presentation of the food looked good. Houston's food is consistently good. When I come to Houston's, it's because I want spinach dip, a good salad or fish. My son and... I came in for an early dinner without a reservation (I called several times earlier in the day but the phone was never answered)- no worries, we only had to wait about 15-20 minutes. We got a drink and waited on the front patio since it was a beautifulday. I chose the House-Smoked Salmon appetizer (a generous portion) and it was delicious. My entrée was the Traditional Saladw/Buttermilk Garlic dressing. The picture may not look exciting but my son only eats plain burgers - it was a large, fresh,ground chuck burger and he enjoyed it. We both thought they could be a little more generous with the fries that were served. Iordered a brownie to take home since I couldn't finish my meal. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to find cherries or some othertype of fruit added to the brownie. I didn't care for that at all. Read more
