Lunch on weekday, arrived around 12:45 pm, lunch crowd was finishing up but still had open tables inside and out. Family run... with aunties clearing the tables. Still the best Cuban Sandwich to be found! I used to eat here back in the 90's once a week and have stopped by maybe once or... twice a year since. The same friendly lady that used to ring me up 30 years ago, rang me up today. She and the food were as goodas it always was if not better. I've heard that real Cuban plates come with white rice And I do not debate as I've never beento Cuba however I have had the white rice and will say Havana Sandwich Shop knocks the competition out of the park. Great sandwich shop. Authentic and delicious. Sandwiches around $9 and plates a little more. Pretty small dining room but... people turnover quite fast. Drinks include some Caribbean selections if you are curious. Great deserts and coffees. Service wasquick, friendly and efficient. Parking can be a challenge. Read more
So I went and bought a Pollo Frito sandwich today and from my experience the food is pretty good ! But I’m disappointed in... this restaurant because my food came with HAIR it looked like lint hair off of a towel they were all over the WHOLE CHICKENI WAS PULLING WHITE HAIRS FROM EVERYWHERE! I think it’s due to the plus size lady at the register she was nasty with me fromthe beginning I think she told the lady in the back to (spit in my food ! )She went back there laughing and made that facialexpression she’s lucky my husband was not with my because he does speak Spanish due to the type of work he does but let’ssee if we get sick or ANYTHING! From this date I kept my receipts from my purchase with them i didn’t even tell my husbandwhat happened but after eating it he stated his stomach feels Weird I pray they did NOTHING because that is very disgusting thisis not even half of what happened when I was there …PRAY FOR US PLEASE ! This food will make you wanna smack your momma! The best Cubin I have ever had and I have had many. None compare to this place... right here. It is out of this world good. The rice was delicious and the black beans were perfect! The fat girl in me just can'thelp herself. I love everything food and this place just made my top 10 which is hard to do these days. The staff was helpfuland the lady taking orders was not only patient but very helpful. The restaurant itself was cute and clean so no complaints. Iwill be going back tomorrow. I would go tonight but unfortunately they are not open so I will continue my fat girl overloadtomorrow. Read more
The Cuban sandwich is amazing!! The steak sandwich has good flavor but I wish the meat wasn't cut up into small pieces and I... could do without the potato sticks. The plantains/Maduro were on point. You can never go wrong with the yellow rice and blackbeans. Read more
