We had a dinner reservation for 2 at 7:00 pm on Monday, 10/24/22. Jonas was our waiter and he was wonderful! Service was great.... They allow smoking at the bar downstairs, but upstairs is smoke-free. There was a wide range of people - people on dates, largeparties, and business-people. The food was super good! We each got an appetizer, a steak (comes with a small side of creamedspinach, mashed potatoes, and one other choice - it was the perfect size!), two sides, and dessert. We had so much leftover. Weeasily each got 2 meals out of it. If we came with more people next time, I would get the sides, but for just 2, it?sunnecessary. Here?s what we got: - Beef Steak Tomato and Onion Salad ($10.95): Good, but not crazy good that you need to getit. - Shrimp Remoulade ($14.95): My husband enjoyed this! - Hal?s Ribeye 20 oz. ($71.95): My husband loved this!! He got thecreamed spinach and said it was the best he?s ever had. I?m normally not a huge fan of creamed spinach, but I went back formore! - Filet Mignon 12 oz. ($66.95): Super good! The flavor was amazing. The crispness on the outside was perfection. I got themashed potatoes as my side and they were sooo good. - White Truffle Macaroni and Cheese ($12): I love mac and cheese, and whilethis was good, I don?t think it?s a must-order for 2 people. If you have more people in your party to split it with, then go forit. - Brussels ($12): Suuuuper good. I would definitely recommend this. - Chocolate Cake ($9.95): We wished this was more likechocolate lava cake. It wasn?t warm like we wanted it to be. Still tasted good! We enjoyed Hal?s! My wife and I celebrated our 29th anniversary at Hal?s. We couldn?t be happier that we did. We had a reservation for 8pm but... arrived early. They quickly found us a table. Robert was our server and he was amazing. Probably one of the best we?ve everhad. We ordered the charbroiled oysters with butter garlic and Parmesan. They were perfect. We followed with a wedge salad,filet and lyonnaise potatoes. The steaks were perfect. So tender and so much flavor. Finished off with cheesecake. BAM! This place is ridiculously over priced. It was loud and too may people squeezed in one space. Our table was right next to the... people next to us I could have took food off their table we were so close. The AC had to be broken it was so hot on the secondfloor. We had a reservation and still have to wait 25 mins. You cannot even finish your food because The bust boys came byconsistently asking are you done, I had told tell him 5 times I am still eating. We were a party of 5 and feel like it was notworth the 700 plus dollars we paid. Server was really good. Food was ok. Very disappointed. Read more
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing, I forgot our server's name but he was so great and offered... complimentary dessert because there was a small wait on the Lobster Mac. The Lobster Mac is DELICIOUS and the Prime Ribeye wasso tender. It did take a bit longer to seat us even though we had a reservation but it was absolutely packed so understandable.There was another couple that had an earlier reservation and seemed to wait a while but didn't get seated.. I wasn't sure why wewere seated before them so I thought they could have been better organized in that aspect. The lights are very dim which can bekind of difficult to see around and the tables for 2 are really small so there isn't much space. The bread pudding has a muchstronger bourbon taste so if that's not your cup of tea, I'd recommend the tiramisu. Read more
Incredible food and service! We had raw oysters and Lobster bites for appetizers and both were over the top great! I had... Chilean Sea Bass which was outstanding! The fish was perfectly seasoned and topped with a sauce that was exquisite! The steaksour group had were also perfectly cooked and seasoned! Our waiter, Jeff, was amazing and attentive! Omg, where do I start. 1st I want to Thank Jamal for the fine service you provided my hubby and I. Just spectacular !! The... food was amazing. I have been disappointed going to a few other restaurants in Buckhead lately but, Hal?s came out swinging.You have earned another customer . Oh and yes let me thank the Manager whom brought out 3 dessert dishes. Our meals were runninga little late and he offered a bottle of wine or whatever we desired. I chose dessert of course. We killed them all . Well wetook the bread pudding home and I killed it lol. Omg, What a fantastic evening. We will be back asap. ???????? Note - thesmoking was mild at 5:30. This is an old school steakhouse (and that is a good thing, that holds it charm and distinct personality that is the hall mark... of a non chain steak place. The menu is extensive and the service exceptional. Note that they are grand fathered into allowing smoking at the bar. It does not ruin the meal in anyway, but if you want a cigar after dinner - this place is it. One secretis the bar upstairs that let's you enjoy an aperitif post dinner while enjoying some great conversation. Reservations are amust. Excellent food and service. This place was well worth the dollars. I highly recommend Hal?s! The strawberry cheesecake? to die... for!! Highly recommend!!! My husband and I both had steak, creamed spinach, white truffle macaroni, and Brussels. For drinks, Ihad the lemon drop and he had the old fashioned. This place is a must try! Read more
