Food was tasty and fresh and pretty good. Service wasnt the best. Well nothing wrong or disrespectful at all; just wasnt... welcoming at all, no enthusiasm, no positive attitude, no friendliness, just real blah. To each its own. But the energy wantwelcoming at all. Would as a bonus have asked customers if its togo or dinein cause that was extra plastic bags that went towaste when ppl were eating in. & maybe train on dietary restrictions/food allergies. Like which what what be gluten-free, etc...overall, my 1st visit/meal was good and real good amount served. Deep dish for mix greens spicy/sweet salmon. The jerk chicken bowl during lunch today definitely deserved a review because it was that good. Previously, my wife and I tried... them out looking for healthy quick options, she got the salmon bowl, and I got the chicken teriyaki bowl, which I thought was alittle mediocre as bowls go, the sauce was too thick and salty for my taste, and the stir fry vegetable mix seemed to be lackingsome ingredients. Today I decided to get something different and go for the jerk chicken bowl, and upon seeing the bowl, thepulled chicken and grilled peppers and onions looked inviting. The jalapenos, lettuce, and pineapple were all crisp and fresh,The balanced heat in the bowl with the mild sweetness of the salsa was very good combination and kept me wanting more. Edit review 2.5.22 Came and tried a chicken avocado wrap. It was cold... They normally cook the meat but wasn't happy the wrap... was cold.. I thought the wrap could have been warmed up too... I'll definitely be back but probably not ordering a wrap I hadno complaints about my first time here ? will go back and try other dishes ? I came back and tried another dish and it was????and the customer service was great too... Made my dish exactly like I asked... Next time I'll try a wrap. My reviews usually glow with praises. For this place, I could not. The staff was unfriendly - they didn?t even let us know our... food was ready. My friend and I stepped right outside of the front doors to discuss a personal matter. We waited and waited andwaited - no waive, or nod, or, ?hey your food is ready.? Nothing. The young lady in the lobby on her cell phone just watched us.When we opened the front door to check on our order they pulled the dishes off a delivery shelf like we were a call-in order.Then there was the meal itself. The place gets decent reviews normally - so I have to guess that the server who made our disheswas heavy handed with the teriyaki sauce. The chicken teriyaki bowl was DRENCHED in sodium-filled sauce so badly that it wasn?tedible. I had traveled all day, and had just arrived in town so I was absolutely STARVING - and they took so long to fix it - soI tried to get the food down. That was apparently a HUGE mistake. When I concluded that the sauce was drenched throughout themeal - and continuing to consume the sodium sauce could give me a hypertension headache- I ultimately asked the young lady atthe counter what she could do about making us new bowls without so much sauce. The staff refused to fix the problem. I hadattempted to take my good friend out to dinner - but we could not even enjoy the food. I wasted my $23.00. The Staff simply tookthe food back with no refund or even an apology. Mint, the manager, looked at us and refused to assist us in ANY way - accept totell me that if I didn?t appreciate the service- I should write a Google review. Well Mint, I followed your directions. I lovefollowing and supporting Black business- so this customer service failure cut me like a knife. I live in the DMV - I eat out 2or 3 days per week. Never experienced this. Grub is my go to whenever in Hapeville area. The food is both good for you & delicious. A win win in my book! Lol Of my many... visits my favorite dish is the southwest chicken bowl with brown rice. Be mindful it tastes even better than it looks. Thecustomer service is always great there as well. Will continue being a repeat customer for sure. Read more
Decided to try, even though there were reviews that warned me... At first reception, there is no menu to explain what's... available. When you ask, the two women working, they're are VERY inconvenienced to explain...Plus, they seem as if they wereforced to work today... Perhaps not their fault; there's no menu or even a QR Code to scan, and they probably haven't had propercustomer service training. At present, I did order a bowl and a drink and spent $19.36. I will return to complete this reviewon the food. ** AFTER EATING ** OK... ordered at 1249. Food was ready by 1:05. Not going to complain too much about the longwait, but it was too long. DEFINITELY NOT worth $19.36 Food was actually pretty decent. Will I return? NO!! The Lack ofcustomer service 1 time, is enough NOT to return...
