We had roasted pork mofongo and shrimp mofongo. It was good but not excellent. And what was up with their refrigerator; all... the drinks and waters were hot. Food was amazing. This one is inside of Ponce city market. The decor is like a sidewalk Cuban restaurant. There's music playing,... flags and lights. Very cool! I'm pescitatian and ordered the shrimp Cuban sandwich. It was so good, grilled shrimp with pickles,lettuce and swiss with two sauces. My side was plantains and no complaints there! I did pay a high $4 for a Jarritos soda but,I'll say that's apart of the restaurants need to cover costs. Would recommend and would return!! Read more

My family and I are in this area for a few days and we were very excited to visit Ponce City Market, when we looked for which... restaurant to go to, we read the reviews of this one and it seemed very good. Possibly one of the most disgusting sandwiches I have ever had in my life. The fact that someone even thought they could call... this a Cuban (vegetarian) is actually astounding. There are no pickles, rather fresh cucumber. No traditional seasoning andinstead it feels like I am eating a salad in between two soggy pieces of bread with some horribly prepared tofu. A full travestyfrom first smell to first (which was the last bite). Their ?traditional? Cuban itself is lack luster at best.
