I miss eating good soul food, my friend only cooked it for me. So after work I saw this place and just walking distance. I did... not expect that the sides are good portions so my plate is like a party plate ???? I like the jerk chicken (caution it's mildlyhot may not be for everyone), the gravy and mashed potatoes are worth visiting, max and cheese is good, I'm kinda bias on thisone because my friend cook the best mac and cheese ???? cornbread is ok. An Atlanta establishment - if you know the city then you know Eats. Unpretentious and simple, this hole in the wall serves some... of the most delicious food. The menu is simple (get your meat and pick your veggies) the self-service is friendly and quickwithout feeling rushed, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The jerk chicken is to die for. Came here because I pass by all the time & wanted to try their soul food. Got an order to go: the lemon pepper chicken, collard... greens, mashed potatoes and gravy, and the chicken chili. The chicken chili wasn't spicy but had decent flavor. Also it was ahuge portion. The lemon pepper chicken really had no lemon pepper flavor, but it was a 1/2 bird. Mashed potatoes were great.Collards were average. My to-go order was ready in two minutes, so that was a plus. What I will say is that the portion sizesare very good for the price. I wasn?t expecting much from Eats. I?ve always driven by it and have never given it a thought. But because it?s in the passbook,... we decided to try it. It?s a small restaurant that?s cafeteria style. It?s very old school with great comfort food. The meatsare $6. I got the Sunday special, BBQ Chicken with Mac and cheese and it was delicious.
