I wish I could give this ZERO stars!! I originally ordered salmon croquettes and cheese grits. I sent it back because all my... food was spicy. So I ordered French toast and bacon instead. Pretty simple. And it can’t be spicy. I was told I would still becharged for the salmon and grits and not the French toast. I said okay that’s fine. So it came out and they both were superdry. So I was told I was still being charged for the salmon and grits even though I didn’t eat it. I didn’t eat the Frenchtoast or bacon either because it was so dry. I was then told I’m still being charged for it. I told them I was only paying formy drinks and my friends food since I didn’t eat anything at all. The owner finally came to our table after about 30 minutesof me asking to speak to her since she was the person who cooked the food. She was extremely rude and told me they are likeSpondivits and they don’t take food back. She was unapologetic and told me she was calling the police if I didn’t pay forthe food I ordered even though I didn’t eat it. So I paid for our drinks and my friends food. I didn’t not pay for the spicysalmon or the dry French toast. This was my first time here and definitely the last!!! Extremely unprofessional. I visited this 9/11/2021 restaurant due to it being a few blocks from where I had a business meeting. The young lady who greeted... me at the bar and was very pleasant, And she fixed a killer Long Island Ice-Tea. The music was great the atmosphere was evenbetter I stayed until closing. Read more
Ashanti, our server was super BOMB! She was sooo sweet and super attentive. We came for my best friend’s birthday and had a... great time until the owner, Joyce, came and was super rude to our server. She was snappy for no reason. It was unnecessary. As abusiness owner, she should be mindful of how she treats her staff. The staff was the reason we actually had a great time. Thankyou Ashanti for making our time a great one! I used to love this place for a quick night out... however it has drastically declined!!!! It's completely overpriced and seems... to be poorly managed! Very expensive prices, yet there seems to be no money that is being put back into renovating the place..salt shakers were completely outdated and reminded me of an old school cafeteria. The tables are old and don't match... thebottled waters are overpriced off brand store bought waters.... Which could be purchased 6/$1 instead they are charging $3...completely insane markup of cost! I will say the food was fair and served extremely hot... but overall I was completelyunderwhelmed and overcharged... And not to mention confused... prices drastically varied from being served outside versus insidewhich I cannot seem to find any valid justification for other than just bad management and the need to price gouge... and lastlythe hookahs were subpar! I hope this review helps management to make the necessary adjustments and improve this place becauseit could have far much more potential! These people are THIEVES and the owner is extremely disrespectful. They're understaffed but after overhearing a few... conversations between staff I understand why. Everything was on point from the vibes, food, and drinks. They also have hookah for those that like it. I have been here several... times and it’s always a vibe. Love supporting business that are professional and go beyond with the customer service. Will beback!! Read more
