Breakfast was perfect. The service was prompt and friendly. A real cozy atmosphere like you're at a country kitchen in a cabin... somewhere. I tried the fried pickled green tomatoes, omelet, sausages, and kale. All delicious. My guest had the waffles, whichhe couldn't stop raving about. Highly recommend. Read more

Rating is more of a 3.5. I enjoyed my chicken and waffles. Chicken tasted good but felt dry. The cornbread muffins were... satisfying for sure. I recommend ordering those for an appetizer! I was very pleased. Not much to say about waffles because theyare not difficult to make. My date was disappointed in her chicken but enjoyed the rest of her meal. I will note this placeseems pretty busy. For a small establishment, there are some minor issues they have with trying to get to all their potentialcustomers. Even after signing onto the wait-list an hour prior, we waited an additional hour before being seated. Some placesrequire an additional pay for large parties (which led to so many customers standing around waiting to be seated here). Also, because of the rush, one of our orders never came, so we made sure it was removed from the bill. Still, I would have liked mybiscuit with jam. I intend on visiting again to get a better idea of the average experience, then go from there. Read more

Great breakfast foods! No reservations but a wait/call ahead list. My husband feels it's overpriced. I find that it is just a... sign of the times. Regardless, I always enjoy Buttermilk Kitchen. I especially love the dishes that the food is served on andthe welcoming atmosphere. Always great customer service! Read more

My daughter and I went to Buttermilk Kitchen on a Friday at lunchtime. It was packed and we didn't want to wait for a table so... we sat at the bar. So glad we did! The bartender was friendly and provided a great experience. We will definitely return on ournext trip to Atlanta. The lemon mayo on the BELT sandwich was very lemony, so I skipped eating the top piece of bread. Mydaughter's pancake was the most delicious pancake I've ever tasted! Read more

Me, my husband, and my daughter went to Buttermilk Kitchen this morning for breakfast. It is a very cute little restaurant. We... was seated after maybe a 5 minute wait. The waiter was awesome. He was training and they both did so good. Checked on us severaltimes and gave great recommendations. The food came out pretty fast and was very very good. We all enjoyed our means and drinks.I had a boozy blue drink and it tasted amazing. And I also had the hash bowl which was very flavorful. My daughter had Frenchtoast and a lemonade and she said it was perfect. My husband had the chicken and pancake and he said it was delicious. And thebiscuits literally just fell apart as you ate them. They were on point. Go check this place out! Read more

If you search for the best places to have southern breakfast in Atlanta, you will find Buttermilk Kitchen in the top list. We... went for breakfast on a weekend and seeing the number of people there, it seemed like a popular spot. The restaurant is in ahouse and the parking is limited but they have multiple nearby spots where you can park. We were promptly greeted at the gateand were told that there was a wait of 15 mins. There were multiple sections inside and they do have outdoor seating aswell. In the coffee menu, we wanted to have cappuccino but they only serve black coffee, so we ordered that. We had HashBrown Fritters, Folded Egg Frittata, Chicken Biscuit and Buttermilk Pancakes. All the food that we had here was delicious.TheHash Brown Fritters were crispy and tasty. We highly recommend having the soft and yummy Buttermilk Pancakes here. The serverswere prompt and courteous. Upon receiving the check, we found that they added 5% extra for covering the insurance of theemployees working there. Overall, a nice breakfast restaurant. We will be going there again to try other things on their menu. Read more

Food was FANTASTIC!!! Our server was awesome! It's nice being greeted several times as you walk in because it let's you know... they acknowledge you're there! Super clean! We had french toast, Biscuits/Gravy, fritters, blueberry/basil lemonade, B.E.LT,build your own breakfast. If I could give it a 10 I would!!!! Love love LOVE IT! as a former server, I LOVE that you have thr 5%added & what it goes towards. People who get upset about that have never been in the service industry & don't know that struggleplus you have the option to remove that! Read more
