Food was amazing and hostess was quick to greet when we walked in. Took a few extra minutes for our waiter to get us water... because he was fingerings his phone. Order was quick and the food was piping hot. I was actually surprised at how quickly thefood came out and closing out the bill for individuals. Prices typical for a downtown area restaurant and really liked theatmosphere and ambiance that it had. Will def think about coming back. Read more

In March, we hosted our annual international convention for close to a thousand people in the area. We had been scoping out... places for our 35 board members to eat during our stay; Amalfi’s looked amazing, so before leaving for Atlanta, I called tosee if they could accommodate our group, be it in-house or for delivery. The person who answered was very nice, but let me knowthey were slammed and that he would pass a message along to the sales person, would give me a return call. Several weeks later,I still haven’t heard back from anyone. While waiting, we called back, just to ask about a couple people who had gluten /dairy allergies. We learned they, unfortunately, couldn’t accommodate either, so we couldn’t do our board dinner there,however a couple of us were really excited to try it, and headed there after checking into our hotel. The sign at the entranceindicated we had to wait to be seated, so we did, however there was only one individual at the entrance, and that person was onwhat appeared to be a personal call. We stood there awkwardly; he didn’t acknowledge our presence for some time, despitelooking our way. Once seated, our server came by to get our drink order. As you can see from the photos, the restaurant was notbusy. He introduced himself, we chatted briefly while he took our drink order, I raved about how beautiful the placelooked. The server then took at least ten minutes to return with the drinks (two diet cokes). He took our food order when hebrought them to the table. We briefly chatted, he then attended to other tables. Someone else nearly wordlessly brought us ourpizza. The food itself was incredibly unique - my pizza had ricotta cheese in the points, as well as bacon jelly and a friedegg in the center. Great place for Italian dishes/brick oven style pizza. Tables have paper overlay on top of the real table cloths that kids can... color on with crayons… perfect. Note for kids eating with you… a children’s cheese pizza ($6) if you ask for it is thesame size and ingredients as a mozzarella margarita pizza ($12). Food was amazing. We went in at 6pm on a Friday and there wasplenty of tables free, left at 7pm and people were being turned away at the door without a reservation. Excellent food and dining experience. The drinks were also very well made. The meatballs, pizza, pasta, spaghetti, salads, etc... were fantastic. The location is convenient to everywhere in downtown, and the atmosphere is really nice. Highly recommend forthose who love pizza and Italian food, and they have a great kids meal.
