The food is fresh and flavorful, served with beautiful and artistic flair. I arrived tired and hungry, greeted warmly by Amanda... at the bar. She listened for what I said I wanted then guided me to the perfect meal for a late night; asparagus and salmonsalad followed by an irresistible pear pie with sage cream. I?ll return every time I?m at UGA for meetings. Y?all rocked it! ?? Read more

If I could give 4.5 stars I would. Meal was great, service was awesome (thanks Martha). I had the duck breast and the Mrs. had... the spinach radiatore(sp). Read more

Favorite bites in Athens. They sometimes do prix fixe courses. Fantastic upstairs bar with limited seating as well.

Amazing dinner experience. Caroline was our phenomenal waitress. She was attentive, happy, and just showed genuine interest to... me and my date. It's Grace's 29th birthday and all she wanted was to come here. Caroline and the entire Expat time made it oneto remember. Thank you all!! Read more

Great food and vibe. A little too pricy. Duck breast is better than lamb rack. All the deserts are kinda too sweet but great.

Food was great. Management? Not so great. When we politely asked to move to a slightly larger table to accommodate our three... person party, we were told that the one next to us was reserved for a bigger group. Soon after, a couple occupied the largertable. Ouch. The tight logistics between tables on the porch, which we were trying to alleviate by moving tables, turned theservers into very agile contortionists. Also, after a truly delicious set of appetizers, my request for new silverware was metwith surprise. If I?m going to drop 25 bucks on six ounces of fresh pasta, yes, I?d like clean utensils. I know. Very demanding. Read more

Excellent service, lovely atmosphere and the food... OMG. Easily the best duck I've ever had in my life! Antipasta sampler... worth the price. Do not miss the chicken livers with pickled strawberries - seriously. If they have the butterscotch puddingwhen you go, trust me, just order it. I hate butterscotch pudding... This is a whole other kind of pudding not to be ignored. Read more

Wow, this place was terrific! My wife and I had a great dining experience and will be going back. We got the charcuterie board... to start, and it was fabulous a little bit of everything. The small board was plenty of food for two people. We then had a greatsalad and the hanger steak, this steak was cooked perfectly! We then had to try dessert. We got the chocolate pots de crème,the addition of a raspberry sauce was perfect! We also got two cocktails that where fantastic, I think they might have one ofthe best old fashions in town. Last night was our first time dining at The Expat, and I must retort other reviews I have seenon google. The amount of food received was more than enough for two people. The price of all menu items cost relatively the sameas other restaurants of this caliber. My server was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive, even after we paid the check shekept bringing water to our table as we set outside finishing our cocktails. I will be back in the future to enjoy more food anddrink. I hope that this place is here to stay so we can add it to our rotation of delightful dining in the Athens area. Read more
