I?ve been coming to Thai Spoon for over 6 years, and not once have I ever left feeling disappointed by anything! My favorite... food is definitely the Pad See Thai, but the Massaman Curry is a *very* close second. They also have amazing Thai Iced Tea.Plus, the staff here is very polite and helpful, and they do their best to get to you as quickly as possible. All in all, ThaiSpoon is probably my favorite restaurant in Athens! Read more

I have always liked Thai Spoon! Downtown is a little out of the way for me, so I wish they had a delivery option, but maybe that... will happen in the near future. Their food is always great, and the service is also good and fast. I've never had issues withfood quality, so I would absolutely recommend this place. Read more

I haven't been to Athens in about 20 years and decided to walk around downtown while visiting family about 30 min away. I got... hungry and didn't want fast-food. I noticed the Thai Spoon and figured it would be perfect. I got the panang curry with tofulunch special. It came with a beverage of your choice, I got hot tea. I also got a spring roll and the tom yum soup, which wasdelicious. My main dish was the panang curry with tofu. The spices were just the right amount. The staff was very nice and therestaurant clean. Very nice local place. Read more

Thai Spoon is the best! My boyfriend and I go often (almost weekly) and no matter who our server is or how busy/slow they are -... the service is always great. Everyone is so friendly. Most recently, Sidnie was our waitress. She took great care of us and wassuper personable. Thanks Sidnie! The food is equally as amazing. We usually order the same entrees when we go, but even when webranch out and order something different, it never disappoints. You can?t go wrong here. (And order the Thai Dumplings as anapp!) We've visited a few times and the food has been good. The chicken rolls and Thai dumplings are lovely. Their dipping sauces... overall seem more balanced and less icky sweet than others. Spicy Thai noodles and pineapple and cashew nut rice were on point.I do prefer a basil chicken with ground chicken over sliced, but that's just me. I also like it a little more basil forward. Myhusband enjoyed the Spicy Jungle Curry very much but the Green Peppercorn with Hot Chili was not our fave. The peppercorns madefor a beautiful looking dish but there seemed way more of them than meat and veggies. The tables are pretty close together asthey're trying to maximize customers within the space. But as we're usually showing up right before close, it's not been anissue for us. Read more

It was a nice place in mid-downtown to have thai dishes. The tom yum soup they had was super good. Spicy basil fried rice was... nice too; worked well with chicken on it. The ambience was good and so were the staffs. Read more

A little bit on the pricier side but the portion sizes were accommodating enough. Also nice that they?re vegan/gluten free... friendly Edit: Sadly, I have to alter my review for this one. Prices have jumped and quality hasn't. Paid 18 dollars for oneentree (!) and received maybe half the portion that I was expecting with sparse veggies and tofu. Read more

This is hands down my favorite Thai place in town, possibly my favorite Thai place period. The food is delicious and... well-portioned. The staff is wonderful! My go-to is the Thai Spicy Noodles and the Thai Dumplings (pictured). The Thai Dumplingsare out of this world and they make them in-house. Their coconut soup is also perfect. If you're not a fan of spicy food, besure to check the heat rating on the dish you're ordering because some only come at a level 2 or higher. Personally, level 2 isperfect for me but it's not for everyone. The location is great too and calling for take out is great because the food is readypretty quickly and easy to pick up. If you're gluten intolerant, this is also a safe restaurant to eat at and they'll happilyanswer any questions you have. If you've never tried Thai food, this is definitely a great place to start. The staff are helpfultoo if you need recommendations! Read more
