Food was great, cocktails were good, service was great.. Then the restaurant hit me with a credit card fee for paying with my... amex that wasn't disclosed on their menu, at their point of sale or anywhere else that I saw. I believe this is illegal (not tocharge, but to not disclose), unethical, and against card services agreements. I could complain to amex and probably get them toreverse it but it's not worth my time. It was a pittance of money, but it wasn't the money that matters it's the ethics. There'stoo many good restaurants around to give money to people who cheat and lie to their customers. Will not return, and would notrecommend to anybody. Read more

Great experience all the way around. It was my second visit to Athens, and my first time at Seabear. From the time I walked in... and was greeted by the exuberant host to the time I paid my tab and left, the staff was friendly and accommodating without beingoverbearing (pun sort of intended). I?ll be going back. Read more

Absolutely incredible location. We showed up towards the end of the evening with a group of 9 after my wedding and the staff's... service and welcoming attitude was amazing. Delicious food, wonderfully kind employees, we loved every moment of it. So gratefulfor such top-tier service on such a special day. Would rate 10/5 stars if I could, my sincerest thanks to staff and ownership. Read more

Generally pretty busy on weekends, but service and food are always spectacular and we never feel rushed. We've ordered almost... everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed. As a Boston transplant, I was over the moon to see scallion pancakes onany southern menu. They take it over the top with a truly light and incredibly fresh rock crab salad. Even my husband craves itnow! It's pure magic. Lobster rolls and scallop fried rice are fantastic. Oysters are fresh and change regularly while oystershooters have a nice spicy bite to them. Cocktails are unique but they also make a fine Manhatten. I hate to pay to parkanywhere to eat but this is totally worth it! Read more

This was my first visit. The oyster/drink happy hour was suggested. It was a great recommendation. We had an assortment of the... oysters and drinks. It was my first time trying raw oysters...after an awful experience somewhere else. I also tried an Oystershooter! Everything was great! The avocado toast was beautiful and delicious. I will definitely return...and have the oysters! Read more
