The service was on point. Went as a group and did hibachi. I got the sweetheart roll which was quite good, and cute with the... sushi shaped like a heart (I forgot to get a picture). We had a party of 5 on a game day in October. The wait for the hibachi tables was a lot longer, but for a regular table, we... waited less than 10 minutes! We got the edamame, which was sadly a little cold. Wished it was warmer. The salad was deliciousssand came drenched in dressing. The soup was good too! I got chicken and shrimp hibachi plate and it came with so much food! Ithought it was really good! Others in my party said their food was a little cold though. My family and I frequent Shakura (both Athens locations). It upsets me to leave this review because we typically have no... complaints. FOOD QUALITY & SERVICE ARE TYPICALLY A+. My wife and me ate dinner (5 points location) on July 4, 2022. Ourdinner was a little over $100 which is normal at Shakura. My complaint is on the portion size we were served! You be thejudge yourself. Has Shakura made their portions smaller? Normally salads @ restaurants (fast food or resturants) when theserver brings them out it fills the bowl. Salads have never been any Japanese Steak houses specialty. But the lettucetypically covers the bottom of the bowl. My entree portion size wasn't any better. Appetizers were great as usual. Weactually had a hard time deciding so we ordered two (Money Bags & Gyoza). NO COMPLAINTS on appetizers. Read more

Excellent hibachi food! Any and all food cooked on the hibachi - rice, vegetables, chicken, steak, shrimp, etc - it's all... delicious. I'm not a big sushi eater, but my family members that have ordered sushi here have all loved it. I took off 1 starbecause I do feel like it's a bit overpriced for some menu items. Read more

Visited Sakura for the first time for my birthday with my partner. The restaurant has multiple hibachi grills and separate... seating areas. The service was extraordinary, as was the food and drinks. We ordered cocktails and the sushi for two. Theportion size for the meal was much more than we expected and was incredibly delicious. Parking is behind the restaurant withsignage showing the way. Disability parking is in front of the building, but limited. I'll definitely be returning and tryingthe hibachi grills and highly recommend anyone interested in hibachi and sushi to visit. Read more

Went here with family and we had a great time. Pricey, but the food is great and service is fast. The only negative thing is the... floors were very slippery. They were not wet, just very slippery, I saw a server almost fall. It is a nice restaurant with agood environment. Read more
