Delicious home style "meat and three" or however many sides you want. Everything's fantastic and reasonably priced.

Good home meal cooking. Porkchops and fried chicken great. Best sweet tea in Athens!

Food for the soul is an understatement. This food bring ya back to nanny cooking. Those greens have ya jumping up hollering in... ya holy ghost 7s. That fried chicken have ya stomping in your preacher 12s. Honestly the best fried chicken, collar greens, andfried okra I've ever had. I'm straight up soul drunk right now. Yum Read more

Food for the Soul is open for lunch Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, and is well worth a visit. The restaurant... specializes in home cooked foods ranging from fried pork chops, baked chicken, and salmon croquettes to collards, butterbeans, and devilled eggs. Selections vary daily, but the standards like fried chicken and macaroni and cheese are always there. Diners can eat inside the restaurant or take meals to go. Plate choices include meat and vegetable combos or the buffet option.Parking is beside the restaurant on a side street, but there are a couple of handicapped spots directly in front. Read more

If could could give zero stars I would. The service was Horrible! The pork chops I ordered were raw in the middle, I asked to... speak with the manager and she was extremely dismissive along with the staff. I had seen good reviews and wanted to drop bywhile I was in town and was completely dissatisfied from the service to the food. I would not recommend anyone eating from thisestablishment. The beans tasted as if they came straight from a can, the collards were dreadful and the ?cornbread? tasted likejiffy. Being out of town I had to google an ER to go to due to extreme stomach pains just to find out I got food poisoning. Icontacted the restaurant directly and the managers I spoke with were terrible! Don?t waste your money here Read more
