This is my favorite spot in Athens. As a vegan, I am always on the hunt for desserts. When I tell you that I haven?t had a donut... in the six years I?ve been vegan- Nedzas has been a GODSEND. Not one, but all of the donut flavors are vegan!!! The staff isextremely welcoming and kind when I come in for my weekly half dozen. I first tried a donut from their booth at the Saturdayfarmers market. This is such a great spot in Athens for anyone who loves donuts, coffee, breakfast, and a wonderful time. Read more

My first time trying their food was this morning. I tried chicken and waffle with pimento cheese grits. And a latte. Latte was... okay. Chicken looked cooked to perfection on the outside crust, but part of the inside was burnt and tasted so. The server waspleasant and helpful. I only saw about 8-10 pimentos in the large serving of grits and had to add salt and pepper to taste. (Thesalt not so much to taste salt, but to make the grits have a little more taste.) I think they are onto something with the grits, but they could use a little more pimento AND cheese in their recipe in my opinion. Also, they might not be used to a person notbeing in a hurry to eat and run. On a Saturday morning, I occasionally like to eat out and collect my thoughts or work onthings, like reviews maybe, on my phone...take my time. The dining area was not crowded, and being helpful and consciencious, myserver came over a couple of times to to see if I needed a box for leftovers. I finally decided to take her up on it and sathere to finish my review. Since this was my initial impression, I hope to return and have enjoy the food itself more and givethem more stars. We will see. Read more

Well let start off with this is my absolute favorite breakfast spot period. I love the taste in music that they play I swear... sometimes I think they have access to my Playlist lol. The pimento cheese grits are something to climb upon the highest mountainand sing about, every bite sends me into a religious experience, not even playing eyes stayed rolled in the back of my mind..theyhave " love is served " on their wall and truly that is what it is, 100 percent love I taste it in every bite. The absolute bestway to start your day is with a Nedza's fried chicken sandwich on a waffle with a side of pimento cheese grits, for $11 can't gowrong.. Read more

Unfortunately I didn?t get to really experience Nedza?s because I ordered the fried chicken biscuit and it was burnt to a crisp.... I took one bite and spit it out because you could taste the hardness and burntness through the biscuit. I wanted coffee but thelady that took my order informed me that they had no flavored creme just oak milk, regular milk, or half and half. The staff wasfriendly though. Read more

I love the vibe here. I felt like I had just popped over to a friends house for breakfast. We got a biscuit and the chicken and... waffles. Don?t be deterred by the cream cheese glaze on the chicken and waffles....it?s totally worth it! Make sure you catchthem at the Athens Farmer?s Market on Saturdays. We had a strawberry cheesecake baddie....10/10 would devour again! Read more

WOW! Such a HUGE taste from such a small place!!! My best friend and I came here on a whim and we have ZERO regrets. Not only... was Elizabeth absolutely charming when we placed our order and paid, but when another worker, Katie, delivered our food...wewere even more charmed. The service here is impeccable, line out the door, food to die for!!! We got the chicken and waffles ,doughnuts, espresso, a latte, and Nedzas chicken biscuit! We ate every bite and cannot wait to come back! This is clearly a wellrun and maintained establishment! The love letters are such the best idea. Read more

Nedza's is a must-visit Athens gem. It has a fun vibe, you get a personalized compliment when you order, and delicious food! The... owners literally want to make you feel loved through good food. Based on my experience eating the food and interacting with theowners, they truly care about their customers and want to make sure your needs are met. The chicken and waffles plate isfantastic. The waffle is a delicious liege waffle (a delicious yeast-dough waffle with caramelized sugar pearls). Nedza's is theonly place in town that I know of that serves liege waffles and the only place that I've ever had chicken with liege waffles.Combined with the cream cheese syrup and siracha aioli, it was an amazing plate! I also got a browned-butter sugar doughnut. These doughnuts are delicious, handmade old-fashioned doughnuts. Last, I got a cookies and cream cookie. I've never seen acookie this big. Each cookie is 1.5 lbs! It was so good! Pro tip: put in oven at 325 for 5-7 minutes and it will be warm and thechocolate will be nice and melty. All in all, I would recommend Nedza's and hope to try more of their menu items! Read more
