The food is great and the staff is generally nice But one specific visit left a bad taste in my mouth. Accused me of theft and... brought me back to the kitchen to watch thru security footage. I wasted almost an hour of my life just for 4 spring rolls. Notonly embarrassing for me but so much more embarrassing for your business. Do better and keep a record of transactions. I miss my old go to Chinese restaurant. I moved out of Astoria during the pandemic to the west side of Manhattan. You?d think... they?d have good Chinese out here. After trying nearly a dozen places there are none that compare to the Chicken & Broccoli, eggrolls or General Tso?s that Sunrise had. I?m appalled I can?t get good Chinese here. I had to circle back and at least letothers know what a great spot they have in Astoria and not to let it be taken for granted like I did. I miss you Sunrise. Imiss calling you and you immediately saying ?Chicken Broccoli Mountain Dew? and after a quick confirm from me (sometimes smallchanges) it showing up at my door 10-15minutes later. Maybe after reading this I can pay all you did for me forward and somelucky soul will have read this and discovered that the sun truly does rise when it comes to good Chinese food in Astoria?atSunrise. Ugh. No!! Not great. The pan fried wontons are a disgusting gloopy rancid oily mess. Boneless ribs are rubbery and hard. Rice... taste like plastic. Seriously all the Chinese places in astoria are so equally bad. What?s going on? Read more

I have been ordering from Sunrise Rest for almost 20yrs. Not once have I ever had an upset stomach or any type of allergic... reaction to their food. ***** I can describe the wonderful young woman's voice who takes my order & she is very thoughtful &always remembers just how I want my food. They are clean, super delicious, food is perfection. It's outstanding & tastes justperfect without adding anything else to it. I call & always say only 2pcs of duck sauce for our shrimp rolls & they're loadedwith delicious shrimp's. It's an awesome Restaurant. Read more
