Superb classic hole in the wall, bartender was pouring heavy and they have a jukebox and dome casino games, my type of bar?.

In town for the night and wanted a good dinner that was easy and convenient. Found Omar's 1 mile from the hotel and went in.... Seems it's divided into a bar one side restaurant other. Restaurant side is a little blah with decor but it's the oldestrestaurant supposedly in Oregon, it makes sense. Server was good but missed me a few times for another beer....When your almostdone with your meal and THEN they ask "another drink?" it's a little too late. Didn't matter was there for the food and itdelivered. Top sirloin with veggies and steak fries was really good. Read more

Our first time... and on the bar side. We ordered a ny strip and parmasean crusted Alaskan halibut. Both were exceedingly... delicious! My self created mixed drink was also well poured. Loved every savory moment of this outstanding meal! And don'tforget our wonderfully pleasant bar tender! Marvelous experience all around. And OH SO TASTY! Read more

I was a little hesitant as the ambiance wasn?t exactly what I had in mind but the food was so delicious, well seasoned and... cooked. My husband had the Halibut on special and it was the best I have ever had. I had the cranberry chipotle chicken andwhile it was good and well cooked it couldn?t compare to the halibut. I would absolutely come again next time we are in town. Read more

Not good. I ordered a meal for takeout that had a chewy, tough and mostly inedible steak. I called the restaurant to let them... know, and after I shared a few words about the food, the representative became very angry and defensive. She quicklyinterrupted me with a long-winded "word salad," speaking angrily, accusing me of not understanding what I ordered. I do notrecommend this restaurant, both for the poor quality of the food and for their lack of professionalism and customer service. Read more

The escargot in mushrooms was the best thing I've put in my mouth in a while. This dish is devine. An in, from the heavens. I'm... sitting at the bar so that takes a little something away from this experience. The fresh oysters are not (always) on the half. Iasked the bartender about it and he said it's a supply and demand thing. Fair. They were still good. They were just not what Iwas expecting. They were served in shot glasses with cocktail sauce on the bottom. I would cross heaven and earth and listen todrunk people for these escargot shrooms any day. Read more

This is the most underwhelming $100 we have ever spent. Do not buy the bouillabaisse. It had no flavor but the waitress... recommended it as her favorite. Could not eat it. Steak (tomahawk) was mediocre and chewy and not worth the money. The staff wasgreat, and friendly. The environment was friendly and vibe great. We just wished they had better insight into their own menu.Sorry! Read more

So delicious!!! My husband and I had never been here before and came for our anniversary on a recommendation from a friend.... Omar?s did not disappoint! The staff was so friendly and accommodating and really made us feel welcome and appreciated. I wasso happy we could actually sit down for dinner and not have to take out because of Covid. I absolutely love the fact that theyare a local landmark!! Fun facts, they have been in business since 1946 and are the longest running continuously operatingrestaurant from Portland Oregon to Redding California! Their restaurant is like stepping back in time in the best way!! It hasa very warm, inviting atmosphere and their vintage feel is reminiscent of a restaurant scene from an old gangster movie! I loveit! The food was A MAZ ING! the steak was far bigger than I had expected so be warned. It could easily feed two people or beseveral meals. We were beyond gluttonous but at Omar?s, it?s easy to be! We will definitely come back. I highly recommendvisiting this Southern Oregon landmark and enjoying a fabulous meal!!! Read more
