I ordered the Salmon and it came with a lot of thorns. Also the food quantity was very little. I also ordered a chocolate mousse... and I am not sure when t agt was prepared (it upset my stomach).Their service and atmosphere is great but I think they couldcertainly do better in the food department. Update 19Oct: still a fantastic experience, branched out to sample gnocchi and a special chicken pot pie which was... spectacular! Great meal! Sautéed calamari is a nice change from your typical fried calamari and "the steak" is to die for, cooked perfectly and definitely benefits from a well seasoned cast iron pan. My friend raved about the beef bourguignon, and toround it out, we enjoyed wonderful creme brulee. Read more

Best steak I've had in Metro West. Definitely comfort food, with very little refinement. The food and drinks are reasonably... priced for this day and age. The service was excellent. I took off one star because the décor desperately needs updating. I'llbe back. Read more

Update!!! Terrible experience!! Ugh! UPDATE!! My wife and I got take out one night a few weeks ago. We ordered one whole... chicken with mashed and asparagus and one shrimp risotto. The chicken was bland and tasteless AND it was only half a chicken sothat was a rip off. Then my wife saw her food and it looked like an appetizer not a full meal. I am really disappointed inOregon. We thought they were much better than this!! We’ll never go back! This is my old review: This place has been mywife’s and my radar for sometime and decided to finally go there. This place apparently has a rich and colorful history. Ituse to be a speakeasy during prohibition. When you enter this place it has a really nice vibe. It reminded me of an English bedand breakfast. Not very big inside but very cozy and decorated tastefully. There is a very nice small bar area with a couple oftables where you can have dinner. The dining room has about a dozen tables for a nice relaxing dinner. The wait staff isfriendly and attentive without being intrusive. They are noted for their steaks an I can tell you it’s a well deservedreputation. The steak comes out perfectly ook with a beautiful char and fresh vegetables and mash potatoes. They also give you afresh breadbasket with a tasty oil dip. Topping off the meal was a great crème brûlée, one of the best I’ve ever had! Theyhave a very nice outside seating area which my wife and I will be visiting next spring! This place is a rare gem and I am sorryit took us so long to visit Read more
