Let's start with the Hostess who was amazing.  We did not have a reservation for Sunday night. She was so professional and... friendly, even when she had to turn someone down. And she provided some tips on art galleries to visit while we waited. Onceinside the staff was very accommodating with our request to sit away from a very loud table. We had the Bratta cheese and theStuffed figs for an App, and they were delicious. For dinner we had the ravioli, huge ones. Amazing flavor. Also the Shrimp andbasil pasta. It was all amazing. I asked the bartender who was also our waiter to make me a Rum drink. He came back with an OldCuban. It was delicious. We had a great dinner, great drinks. Two things; 1. I wish I could have given this place 0 stars, 2. I wish I would have taken more pictures. So a friend and I came... to Asheville to run a half marathon this weekend, so we wanted some Italian food for the night before race day. This place had aton of reviews and overall 4.6 stars - not too bad. I also read they make their own pasta homemade. So of course I was soldimmediately. We get there and the hostess was very nice and acted like she was checking some long list to see if they couldsqueeze us in. Then took us upstairs where there was an entire dining room that was almost empty - weird for a Friday night? soI order a glass of red wine and the pasta marinara. Literally the simplest dish on the menu. My friend ordered the grilledFlorentine ravioli. The waitress didn?t ask us if we wanted appetizers or really say much at all while we ordered. The winecame, and it was fine. But then our main dishes come out and I took one bite of mine and I swear it tasted like mushy, floury,watery goo with some diced tomatoes on top. It looked gross too. My friends dish was better looking and she was fairly happywith it. I asked her to try mine and see if I was crazy, and she agreed that it was inedible. So I told the waitress I thoughtthere was something wrong with it and she stated that it is homemade pasta and I must not be used to that texture. I assured herI have had many homemade pastas and none of them tasted this bad. And after I argued with her, she offered me another dish. Inormally eat vegan so I ordered the vegan lasagna. It came many minutes later (after my friend was almost finished with hermeal) and it was also rather gross looking (pictured above with some bites taken out). It had a slightly different watery tomatosauce TONS of vegan cheese that was flavorful but WAY too heavy, and I think some sort of gluten free pasta that was impossibleto find in the vegan cheese mass. We enjoyed a pleasant evening on the rooftop for dinner. Staff was very friendly and professional. Each floor had its own... character, feeling very inviting. There are a lot of homemade gluten free options, which is rare to find in an authentic Italian restaurant. The gluten free bread... was particularly good. My husband really enjoyed the non-gluten free lasagna. The portions are not large and the price istouristy high, so it would not be my go to for any old evening, but it is perfect for a special occasion or a date night. Fantastic upscale Italian restaurant from top to bottom! From a smooth reservation process, warm greeting from the host,... fabulous upstairs seating for our party of 7 with great lighting and the service was spectacular. The cocktails were preparedwith purpose & perfection, the calamari lightly breaded & crisp, and every entree was fresh like an authentic Italian grandmawas in the kitchen making it from scratch. The ravioli was by far one of the best dishes I've ever eaten as they are finished onthe grill! Definitely recommend this for a nice date night or to celebrate a special occasion in style! First time at this establishment while visiting Asheville, and I can say it will not let you down. As soon as we were seated on... the rooftop area, we were greeted by our waitress. She was very professional and knowledgeable, and did not let us down with herrecommendations. The food was fresh, and absolutely amazing, blows any other Italian food out of the water. The calamari andgarlic bread was phenomenal. The main courses took a little longer due to the pasta and sauces being made fresh. The vodkatortellini was delicious.
