Reviews for Shanghai Dumpling House in Asheville, NC
Phenomenal small dishes! We were in and out on our tapas tour, but don’t sleep on this authentic dumpling house! Freshly... steamed dumplings and buns are to die for with incredible spicy oils and sauces! Side note: save your time and just ask forsoup dumplings! Read more
Fantastic eggplant! Great pineapple fried rice. Soupy dumplings are homemade and good but I've had better flavor. Duck spring... rolls are not worth the price (very little duck, mostly cabbage). Good unsweet tea. Our server was very nice and professional. Read more
Cute dumpling shop located downtown. Shrimp dumplings were underwhelming and pretty oily. But the other pan fried pork dumplings... were good. Soupy dumplings were nice. Very busy despite coming in at 2p. Read more
Since my partner is Shanghainese, we absolutely had to check out this restaurant. And oh my, the soup dumplings! We already had... soup dumplings with a richer flavor than these, however the technique is spot on. The dough is super thin and the whole dumplingmelts once you take in your mouth. We also hat a scallion pancake as well as the noodle soup with pork meat. We loved to eatthere and would do it again, shall we visit Asheville once more. Thank you! Read more
Very good. Noodles were delicious. Enjoyed the Japanese fried chicken and the shrimp appetizer. Fried pork dumplings didn’t... enjoy the pork meatball inside or maybe it was the dough. The pork baos did not enjoy either, pork had a lot of fat! ButMongolian Moscow mule was delicious. Would definitely come back and have those noodles. Overall nice flavors. Read more

The soup dumplings were amazing!! They tasted delicious and weren’t too hot. We added soy sauce and chili oil which made it... even better if that’s possible. The Mongolian beef was great too and they gave us as much rice as we wanted. Great service andI’d definitely come back if I return to Asheville. Read more
Super impressed with this place. I always find Asian restaurants tough to review outside of NYC because the standard is so high... with Chinatown, K-town and Flushing. But this place is legit. Ordered a lot of dishes to try and everything was solid. Obviouslyyou have to get the soup dumplings and highly recommend the boa buns. Staff is really friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The space is not huge but they only take reservations for large parties. There is a bar with seating. Food comes out quicklyafter ordering as well. No parking lot, street parking around the restaurant and down the side streets. Read more
