A few things stood out on our visit to Roman?s. We had a table outside and a dog with us. The staff was courteous and... attentive. They cleared tables as soon as people left. We had the Chicken Caprese & Italian with pasta salad & potato salad. Everything was very fresh and high quality. We?ll definitely go back! Oh, and I think they were the only business downtownthat didn?t scrutinize shoppers who need a bathroom. Management gets it. Read more

We LOVED Romans Deli! We heard so much about their delicious sandwiches so it was a must try! We came all the way from New York... so we figured to try a few different things off the menu. My absolute favorite was the turkey cranberry sandwich. I also reallyenjoyed the salads and the sesame chicken. Excellent Veggie burger that stands out from other veggie burgers. This one is clearly homemade with actual black beans and... lentils. The burger is also loaded with red onions, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and a special sauce. Fantastic sandwich eventhough it was on the pricey side. The potato and pasta salads were also very refreshing and fresh. I also recommend the chickensalad sandwich which includes sundried tomatoes that add a beautiful flavor to the sandwich. Read more
One of the best sandwich shops or lunch spots in downtown Asheville. Great selection of options, great location, and super... friendly staff. I usually don't eat tuna salad but it's a must try here. Got the opportunity to try some of their catered sandwiches at an event and I can say with certainty that they have in their... possession the greatest chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. And that was the CATERED version. Absolutely ridiculous quality onall sandwiches and salads and a very happy meeting room- can't wait to make this a routine favorite. Oh, and try the cookies.
