I'm not too sure if we just came in on a bad day but the barista was incredibly rude and couldn't tell us if the bagels were... vegan or not so we had to call ourselves to find out (your staff should be aware of all ingredients in case of severeallergies). When we finally ordered, the bagel had a long hair in the tapenade. When my husband went to bring his bagel with ahair in it to the counter, the employee just said "that's interesting" and didn't even offer to make another one until we askedhim to and then when it was ready he made a passive aggressive remark saying "bagel number two is ready" as if we were beingfussy by not eating the first hairy bagel. Very friendly and helpful barista. A local roastery, with 4 locations. The coffee is 18 bucks a bag. They have a light... roast...This is the only local coffee company I know about that does a light roast! A 20 ounce coffee is only $3.21, cheaperthan Starbucks! There are no organic, fair trade or sustainable certifications. The bag does say they are green andsustainable, but you just have to take their word for it, no evidence provided. They had compostable straws! The toilet haslow water pressure and they do not use eco-friendly cleaners. The seating area has nice tables, and there is some outdoorseating. Read more
Coffee here is delicious. Reasonable prices and a very quick stop on the way into downtown. Absolutely recommend the lavender... and honey latte. Unfortunately this place felt uncomfortable, the barista seemed overworked and out of sorts. Would really liketo see a second barista helping or more manageable work space. I felt like I committed a crime just asking a question about amenu. Maybe just an off morning, but I?d like to not feel so heavy going into what is allegedly a pleasant coffee shop. Read more
Great coffee and muffins and banana bread. I?m obsessed with all three. But man do I miss the old barista. She would always give... me ?barista choice? and I always always enjoyed the drink not matter if it was a light roast, a mocha with cayenne, or a Londonfog with lavender. So friendly too! Went in last week and asked for a London fog and was given hot water with a tea bag and coldmilk...would?ve made tea at home if that?s what I wanted and would?ve saved the money, and it wasn?t like she was overlyfriendly anyways. On their north café location: The good: Fast wifi, spacious seating and a light food menu. The medium roast was tasty. The... meh: Barista wasn?t personable or friendly and the bathroom could use a good scrub and refresh. Extra charge for usingcontactless/card payment. Read more
