I?m so glad Cracker Barrel had a 40 minute wait. This place was delicious. We knew going in we found a gem when all the state... troopers were there eating breakfast. Everything is locally sourced and the meats are so good. Hash brown casserole beatsCracker Barrel?s by far. The moose cake is as big as a plate. You only need one. Old school restaurant with no frills. Fried chicken is tasty, if a bit under seasoned. The country ham (always a very salty... item) could use a bit more soaking in water to get more of the salt out. Portions are generous. Side are very tasty,particularly the collard greens and mashed potato?s. The white gravy is excellent. Great home cooking. True Southern fare cooked in traditional ways. Best boiled cabbage I?ve had since childhood. Recently they... have chicken gizzards, which are excellent. The chicken livers are one of my favorites & are only slightly breaded & fried. Read more
Stopped in and got the all you can eat, which was pretty good and filling! Could have been a little hotter in food temperature... but over all it was good. The staff (Amanda) was on top of us and made sure our drinks were filled and asked if we neededrefills. Great visit, would return on our next visit Read more
We were visiting the weekend and in need of a good breakfast place. Moose Cafe did not disappoint. The food came out fast and... made to order. Very delicious and filling. As you can see the portions are good size and we picked up a jar of their applebutter on the way out. Next time we will go for lunch or dinner. Read more

Found this place on Google Maps and the place had a very good rating, so thought I would give it a go. Glad I did. Their... biscuits are delicious and served with an apple ???? type of jam. Went with the Chicken ???? Fried Steak with cabbage and ColeSlaw. All of it was perfect. Staff was quick, friendly and helpful. They also have a great gift shop if you're looking forapparel! First time eating at Moose cafe I really liked their decor.. We choose this restaurant based on the name thought they had... "Moose" for burgers NOT So!!! However Its a "Woolly Mammoth " Hamburger.. it good. What I like best was there Apple Butter onbiscuit two ????????????????UP.. THE FRENCH FRIES are good as well enjoy...
