After visiting downtown Asheville for 2 days in a row, we decide that we couldn't leave Asheville without trying this place -... every time we walked by it smelled so delectable. We decided to take out instead of sitting in. Next time I'll be taking thetime to dine in. The artichoke was so delicious- the sauce it's bathed in is so mouthwatering and memorable. The funghi pastawas good as well - very filling and I'm sure it would be even better when dining in. The bar service was excellent andattentive. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and well appointed. The decor of restaurant is stunning - i want those barstools at my house! Anyways i can't wait to be back later this summer with the next travel group and introduce them to Modesto! Read more
Really flavorful food. I have never had such good pizza crust! It was light and airy, but still thick. They had a lot of varied... choices for pizza. The food did take a really long time though. We were one of only 2 tables there for lunch (we came right whenthey opened) and it took over 30 minutes to get our food. It could be because I ordered the pizza though. The tiramisu was goodas well. We found this gem by accident as we were staying at The Cambria across the street. The food was amazing. Taylor the bartender... was phenomenal, she picked my dish and I was so impressed by the beautiful flavors ???? The drinks were first class and theservice was superb! I would definitely recommend. What an amazing experience! The service was impeccable. We sat at the bar and Tyler took amazing care of us. Tyler was also... running the entire bar alone, making craft cocktails and making wine pairing suggestions. The old fashioned is probably one ofthe best in Asheville! Now the food was incredible, anything seafood is extremely fresh. Although I really liked my SeafoodCarbonara, there was a lot of flavors going on. Incredible wood-fired pizzas. Very large, much bigger than I expected. The Wild Forest pizza was by far the best we tried.... Cheesy, garlicky, and just incredible. The service was also tremendous. River was an excellent server. He gave goodrecommendations and was very charismatic. Read more
We had a great experience at Modesto. Our waiter Darren was very knowledgeable and did a great job. The food was excellent. We... had the Spanish Octopus to start, which was really really good! Holy cow, this place is amazing. We?re from Maryland, and the crab cakes were some of the best we?ve ever had, and everything... else was fantastic too! Bridgette was our server for the night, and she was attentive, informative, gave great recommendations,and made the evening even better! Anytime I?m back in Asheville I will absolutely be back here.
