Reviews for La Rumba Restaurant Latino in Asheville, NC
This place is amazing! Truly mesmerizing. Everything is so clean, seats were comfy, and smells really good. Music was pleasing... to hear. And the staff there is super friendly and attentive to detail. Most importantly, the food was delicious and came outquick. I ordered white rice, chicken tenders, and fries. Didn?t know a simple white rice could have so much flavor. Thank youvery much, this restaurant holds a place in my heart. Read more
The staff was personable and friendly. Instead of chips and salsa brought to the table, they served complimentary Mexican street... corn which was delicious. Everything we ordered was fantastic! We spoke with the owner and they purchase locally including meatfrom Hickory Nut Gap Farm. It looked like they some wonderful mixed drink options as well. I highly recommend this restaurant! We were looking for a Mexican Restaurant and were overwhelmed with choices in this area. Decided to go with La Rumba Restaurant... Latino as it was the highest rated in the area. So very glad we did. The menu was not your typical Mexican menu, so we were abit concerned with choosing lunch. The waitress was very helpful in describing the different dishes and sides. I went with theChicken Street Tacos with black beans and a side salad, my wife had the Enfrijoladas (?) with grilled veggies and a sidesalad. Both meals were over the top great! The salads were fresh, generous and very tasty, with orange slices complementing theonion quite nicely. Both main dishes looked great and after my wife tasted hers, the first thing she said was, ?Can we eatthere tomorrow before we leave Asheville?? I am pretty sure we will be back today. The owner stopped by the table twice, onceto make sure everything was tasting good, then when we were done to thank us for stopping in. He was generous with his time andanswered a couple of questions we had on the style of cooking and the spices. After eating way too much, we both noticed thatwe never had that too full feeling in the afternoon. A compliment to the great cooking. Read more
Any place that brings you street corn to start gets an A+ in my book. The owner is super kind, and this food really tastes like... it was cooked with heart and soul. It?s delicious, authentic Mexican with a Cuban, Caribbean influence. The best Latino foodI?ve had since living in Florida. And they serve brunch ALL DAY! With mimosas and a beautiful bar! What more could you want? Wewill definitely be returning for more. Read more

Overall just a great experience. Food was delicious, very well thought out and put together. They really got all of the details... right - rice, beans, garnishes were all perfect. Plantains were absolutely on point, as was the lengua. Service was friendly andefficient. I'll need to come back for dinner and try the margaritas. Read more
