I started coming to Heiwa in the late 90s but hadn't been back in 20 years until today. It lived up to my memories! The staff... were great. I had a tuna poke box with miso soup and tea and it was delicious and reasonably priced. I enjoyed sitting on theside patio and enjoying the fresh fall air. Read more
Best ramen I've ever had! Everything was well seasoned and fresh and tasted amazing. And the mochi is excellent too! We had the... mango and it was so good. I also got a frozen mango sake drink that was a perfect refresher after the hot ramen. Great littlespot for lunch. The patio is really pleasant and the service is friendly and fast. Highly recommend! Had a nice lunch at my fav Japanese restaurant ????. My friend Hari and I used to eat here often before she passed away. I love... they have great lunch specials with very generous portions, as well as free parking next door. I got my usual tempeh avocadosushi (DELISH! ????) and this time decided to try the tofu katsu don and it was so flavorful! Their veggie sushi lunch box isalso good and is what I usually order. For small little Asheville, NC; Heiwa Shokudo was an amazing little gem downtown. Their staff was absolutely polite, friendly... and welcoming. The restaurant itself was a extremely homie and cozy. The prices were remarkable! I was absolutely shocked howfull I with the prices I've spent. Although, the hot pot taste more like a ramen broth; it was yummy. My party absolutelyenjoyed her ramen. This establishment is vegan, vegetarian and all the above friendly. There is no personal parking lot so youwill have to park in paid parking or along the streets. Overall, this was a place I would surely visit again while in Ashville. Read more
