Amazing healthy food. You can share your food with another person as the serving is so large. We were here for breakfast and... lunch two days in a row. Check them out if you are in Asheville. Read more

For folks freaking out about the 10% added for the folks in the back - yes it's annoying - I'd rather the place just up the... prices and pay their staff properly - but if you normally tip 20% like a normal person, the payment screen tip option is set for10%. Do the math. You'll live. You walk up, squint at the menus above the register and hand written on a board so far left ofthe register so you have to get out of line to see it. Then you order from the kids behind the register, you pay, they give youa table marker. My friend ordered the bowl that had chai pudding, granola, blueberries and bananas. To me, it was too cold, butshe was happy and said the bananas were properly ripe. I got the green smoothie which was beautifully blended and nicelybalanced. Not sweet, not cloyingly green. The sticky bun I ordered from the case was perfectly flavorful but inedibly dry. Iscraped off the sticky cinnamony coating and ate that. Would I be kicking down the door to go back? Probably not. It's a solid, healthy option if you're already downtown and want something easy. Read more

Amazing! We came at lunch but ordered breakfast. I got the Appalachian Trail but with over medium eggs instead of scrambled. The... other dish was the classic sandwich no bread. Two iced lattes with extra shots and oat milk completed the meal. Quick anddelicious! Read more

We did well for our last meal in a 3-night stay in Asheville here at Green Sage Cafe in downtown, across the street from our... hotel and, if you're already downtown it can't possibly be far. There is PLENTY for vegetarians as well as gluten "sensitive"(as it says on their menu) folks and everything on the menu is highlighted with V or GS so it's easy to spot what you can haveif you have one or both of those diets. I had the basic breakfast sandwich with real cheddar cheese and tempeh bacon. This washearty and delicious and I couldn't help myself but to add a side of root hash into the mix because, well, potatoes. The peopleI was dining with were naturally attracted to the root hash on my plate and kept digging in for more tries of it. It was allgood. My life enjoyed the Pura Vida Bowl. The eggs on top were perfectly cooked and had a beautiful color to them. The coffeewas also top-notch. Perfectly strong and served in a real mug just the way I wanted it. (And my wife enjoyed her turmeric latteas well.) There is a ton more to try for vegetarians and gluten-free folks so this would definitely be on the regular rotationfor us if we lived in Asheville. Well done Green Sage! Read more

Wow wow wow. Really good breakfast spot. All of options on the menu sounded good and the ingredients they use are fresh and well... thought out. They have more than enough vegetarian options that you can turn into vegan with minimal changes. Loved thebreakfast burrito with tempeh bacon. Very flavorful and filling. We also got avocado toast, which had a good ratio of bread toavocado and good seasoning. My wife got the Gimme Kale with tofu scramble and loved it. Would definitely come back when we?reback in Asheville. Read more

Came here around brunch time and ordered a mocha & breakfast burrito and added sausage. Once i got my order i realized the... burrito didn?t have any sausage so i walked up to the counter to let one of the employees know so i could get it replaced andthe employee takes a look at the plate and says it?s between the egg. It?s obvious it didn?t have any sausage (take a look atpicture for reference) and at this point i felt i was being a nuisance to them and i just left it as is to not cause moretrouble. At the end of the day i got charged for something i didn?t get but food was good. Front service was ok. Read more
