Reviews for El Que Pasa in Asheville, NC
This is by far the best mexican reastraunt in all the areas I have traveled service is top notch even when they are busy. The... prices are awesome for how much food you get, alcoholic beverages, they make them right, not watered down. Salsa bar, cleansometimes there is a wait but what can you expect with the best Mexican in town, food comes quick. There can be some noise ifyou eat there when they are busy. Great decoration's. Everyone at the table loved their plates!! I Enjoyed the salsa bar and good prices mixed drinks.
Sad to not be able to give them the 5 stars they truly deserve. I was just bragging about the food and prices. I ordered two... lunch items that cost $5.99 and $6.99 respectively, just to be told they are each $9.99. when brought to their attention I wasinformed he couldn't do anything or change anything just let the manager know that there are price discrepancies. He could'vedid the right thing and reissued the ticket with the correct price, but instead they have possibly lost a loyal customer. Ihappily pay the $30 plus on my dinner order. I would've liked to get the right price for my lunch as well. Guess new Mexicanrestaurant in the future. Read more
I'm ashamed I've lived in Asheville for years and have not gone here before. It looks small on the outside but opens up to a... large restaurant that is clean with an endless menu. It's pricier than other Mexican restaurants but you know how the economy isnow. It includes a salsa bar as well.. only negative thing was the shredded beef taquitos with my #8 combo tasted plan. Best Mexican I've ever had! No joke, great atmosphere, extremely fast service. I barely got thru 5 chips before my sizzling... fajita combo was delivered. BTW I sat on the bar side where they have plenty of flat-screens, and plenty of beer. I encourageeveryone to check out their website. Read more
The food was standard Mexican fare, and hearty portions. Huge plates. Really nice decor as well! Far and away better than... taco hell, and only a dollar or two more! ..the shredded beef in my tamales was juicy and tender. I had a dish that was 9.99,and was a dollar more than on the menu on my receipt. Not a problem, but just a heads up would be cool. Tried the Moscow muleas well, which was a dollar more than the price listed on the drink specials bar sign...which is erasable?. On Mondays thehouse margarita is $5.75, with Montezuma tequila... The wait staff was very friendly and fast, the chips were warm and notstale chips, also a nice salsa bar, not watered down at all. Read more
Ordered the fajita nachos. The portion was wildly generous but the vegetables were cut really oddly and the overall dish was... missing something. Would totally go back and try something different. Protip: if you're picking up, you can line up along therestaurant front in your car and the staff will come to you Update: went back for chips & queso and was not disappointed. theydo a proper Texas-style queso loaded with jalapeno, pico(?), and meat. Hell yes. And the chips don't shatter. ???? Read more
