First night dinner for a long weekend trip with my sisters. A late flight meant our 6:45 reservation had to be bumped to 7:30,... but that was an easy phone call on the drive in with the Edison staff happy to help. Lindsay was a wonderful server -attentive, friendly, but not overwhelming. She offered helpful suggestions on drinks. Our food came out correct, quick, anddelicious. We ordered the shrimp & grits, pulled chicken sandwich, and grilled cheese entrees with a panna cotta trio to splitfor dessert. With each of us ordering a drink, entree, and splitting dessert, we each paid between $50-75 per person. We didsit out on the terrace and got to catch the last few minutes of sunset, a gorgeous start to our trip. Highly recommend for acozy dinner experience with an upscale pub feel. Read more

We sat right next to the porch and the view was excellent. The octopus starter was fantastic. The meat and cheese board was... good but 3 different kinds of raisins were served?? It needed more jam. Our table was in the main thoroughfare for the serversand it was only 3 feet between us and the wall. We had a reservation. It was annoying. Read more

We made a dinner reservation here for our 20th anniversary. The views were amazing, but the food was mediocre. We stayed in... Asheville for five days and out of all the meals we had over the course of the five days, this was our LEAST favorite but alsothe most expensive. For the price, I expected it to be amazing and it wasn’t. My husband did enjoy the meatloaf, but hispotatoes were luke warm. I had the pulled chicken and it was the same. Warm and just ok. I did see other complaints about thefood temperature and I would agree - there is an issue with food not being hot out of this kitchen. I wanted to order dessertbeacuse I was still hungry from not eating more than a single french fry (they are not good at all) and the chicken off mysandwhich, but I didn’t want to pay more to be let down again. Service was great. Kitchen, not great. So, we left the mostimportant dinner of the entire vacation disappointed. ???? Read more

Edison - Omni Grove was simultaneously wonderful and disappointing. The setting is a gorgeous room with a gorgeous backdrop. The... service is fast and friendly, shout out to our server James who was extremely kind and carried such a wonderful energy. Themenu has a solid variety of food options and a plethora of adult beverages to please your palate. Here's what we ordered, Noblesseasonal cider and (forgot name) a specialty drinks take on an old fashioned. Nobles Cider, fantastic. The old fashioned, mywife immediately ordered another drink, and the Moscow mule she ended up with she loved. My wife's description of her firstdrink is that it tasted like chewing on an orange peel. It was immediately exchanged and we were only charged for the onedrink. The food, the brussel sprouts were ok. It's one of our favorite appetizers to order at various restaurants andcomparatively it fell quite short. They were slightly undercooked to our liking in some bites where we were really getting ourchewing on to crunch through them. The flavor didn't mesh well for us and seemed imbalanced as each bite brought an inconsistentexperience of chewing or flavor profile. The main dishes: Bison meatloaf was great, cooked perfectly and had a wonderful flavor. The parsnip and lettuce leaves that also came on the plate were lacking flavor and seasoning. I could tell with each bite Ineeded just slightly more of whatever was in it, to really make it shine. The salmon, once again cooked perfectly, what we foundinteresting is that the salmon itself didn't appear to be seasoned and relied solely on the pepper jelly for flavor. My wifewould have preferred more of the pepper jelly if that is intentionally the case. The broccoli side she had she loved and wishedthere was more. There was a very lovely parsnip puree on her plate that also left her wanting more. That is where the problemreally was for her, is that after her meal and half the appetizer she was still hungry.
