Our first time dining here and we learned just how popular it is?nearly an hour wait on a Saturday night. But it was worth it!... Delicious food and great service, with reasonable prices and healthy portions. I loved the spaghetti with marinara sauce, whichcame with a side salad and garlic bread. Plenty of leftovers for another meal too. My wife enjoyed her gluten free spaghettiwith meat sauce and gluten free garlic bread?and she upgraded to the Greek salad (yummy!). Our friends got the large Hawaiianpizza, which was huge and also very tasty. We wish we would?ve tried one of the homemade desserts, but we were too full! A friend walked into work the other day. I was giving him his lunch break. He sat in front of me, eating a cheese steak sub from... Apollo Flame. I was seriously hungry afterwards. So without further ado, after work, I drove to the restaurant and promptlyordered a 12" cheese steak sub. They were out of fried mushrooms, so I got fried green beans as an appetizer. As I said, I washungry. The green beans were crunchy and cooked well. The fries I received were a bit too crunchy as opposed to the beans. I'mnot a fan of crunchy fries. But I still give Apollo Flame 5 Stars for the very fact, I got the order I was hungry for. Here'sthe kicker. I love mayo on my sandwich. It came with mayonnaise on the sub, but if indeed it was on it, I couldn't tell. But asI told my server, that's the first time I would admit I didn't mind not tasting the mayo. My all time favorite local spot in the Candler area. I love the chicken gyro platter & the hot Italian sun do much that I rarely... get anything else. This evening, my husband & I were adventurous? got the specials. We need to do that more often! I had chickenFlorentine & it was incredible! My husband had the salmon special. I often joke with him that there is no point getting salmonout, as his is always better. I found an exception! Apollo?s was the take-out of choice in my area, before Covid made take-outdo popular. Where do I start with this awful place!? When we arrived, the host went ahead of us and threw two menus on the table around the... corner, then turned around and said nothing to welcome us. We ordered a bottle of wine, and it came to our table opened, whichit should not have. The wine glasses were filthy and the waitress was upset when we asked for clean glasses. The food was blandand uninspired and our server never asked us what we thought about the food. When it came to check out, the employee wasequally rude and did not ask us how the food was, preferring to take the next customer in line to pay. We live on the roadfull-time and eat out quite a bit, so this place was a grave disappointment. Find somewhere else to eat. Read more

Came at 2pm Saturday, the day before Mother's Day, as an unfamiliar stop heading home. What a nice surprise! Our waitress, from... Mexico (sadly I can't remember her name), was VERY attentive. Her friendly smile and crisp personality helped to make this mealmemorable. Three of us enjoyed the chef's pasta special, while our other friend had spaghetti with sausage. Only by taking halfof our meals home were we able to find room for treats from the dessert case. Trust me, you'll want to save room! The cannolicake, and the chocolate cake with strawberries, were shared by each couple. Very nice "meal of the day" to hold us all over forthe balance of our drive home. Thank you for everything!
