We love to go to eat at Something Different in Asheboro. The Owner and his staff are the best. From the time you walk in until... you leave, you are so very well taken care of. We have never had to ask for anything The Staff is awesome. The food is sodelicious The servings are more than enough. We always say we are so full from the meal there's no room for desert. We really enjoy using Yelp to find independent restaurants when we are traveling. This one is take it or leave it. The... vegetarian pita left a lot to be desired, and was not served warm, as advertised. The chicken tenders were served hot althoughthey were clearly premade. The mashed potatoes were great. The coleslaw was an edible, mostly mayonnaise with just a bit ofcabbage. The menu online is outdated, the Brownie we called to order was no longer offered, nor is the yelp check in offer beingadvertised honored any longer. Very delicious local restaurant, gyro was very very very amazing. Everything here tasted very good. Spanakopita was awesome,... first time I had tried it and will definitely eat it again. Staff was super friendly and the location was super clean. Had anice amount of traffic in and out so obviously if the locals are coming to this spot, it must be goood. Last but not least thesteak shishkabob was banging, did not need any steak sauce or nothing, the steak melted up biting into. Very enjoyable. 5star!!! Read more

I arrived at the restaurant around 4:30 on a Friday evening and the restaurant was already busy but I was seated immediately. My... server Jacob was attentive and pleasant. They have crab cakes on the menu however I requested a crab cake sandwich with Frenchfry?s that is not on the menu. Jacob explained the crab cakes are made in house and the kitchen would be happy to accommodatespecial requests. The food came out in a reasonable time and was very good. The only suggestion I would have next time would befor the crab cake to be a little thicker or to have two crab cakes on the sandwich because as you can see in the pictures thebun is thicker than the crab cake. Visiting the area today and found this place on Google and decided to give it a try. First off: Staff was great along with the... service! But food wasn?t up to our normal standards... not gross, but expected much better and left disappointed. For instance,salad was chopped iceberg, two grape tomatoes, and shredded cheese. Chicken Cordon Blu was pre-packaged stuff with sauce andovercooked shrimp on the side. We didn?t finish either plate. Desserts looked yummy, but we chose not to have any.
