Place was super busy as usual and short staffed as usual. One girl was making drinks while another ran food. The food girl... dropped and broke something outside, so she had to clean and replace it. Instead of the owner jumping in to lend a hand doingvirtually *anything*, he reprimanded this poor girl in front of a full house of customers, then went outside to continue to sipon his whiskey. What a total disappointment in "leadership". It's no wonder there is such a high turnover in employees. Thegelato is tasty, but not good enough to support that type of ownership. Read more
Lola?s is my favorite spot on Cookman. The soundtrack always pleases, as do the cocktails. We come on Sunday?s for mimosas after... the Asbury Market and late night for dessert and in between for the best cocktails. The outdoor seating is comfy too. Read more
Absolutely outstanding. Langley the bartender is outstanding and so informative. The gelato is homemade,delicious and fresh.... Atmosphere is incredible indoor and outdoor seating. We will be returning asap! Read more
What a great place!!! Friendly staff?great food?and gelato like you?re in Italy!! Had the cheese and fruit board and a chicken... salad Panini. The presentation of the board was absolutely beautiful?and the chicken salad was also excellent! Coffee menu looksgreat?but too late for coffee?next time! While there are a number of non-traditional gelato flavors here (Captain Crunch, anyone?), this is really good stuff, though I... would like it a bit more dense. I had mint chip and stracciatella, very generously dished into a $6 medium cup and really lovedit. My wife had tiramisu and the forementioned Captain Crunch and was equally pleased. Delicious food! Great presentation and really nice and comfy outdoor seating in downtown asbury park. We ordered the cheese and... fruit plate and it was lovely. I suspect it gets pretty busy, we were there for a midday lunch and were able to get good seatsunder overhangs outside, highly recommend! Read more
This is a charming European style cafe in the heart of Asbury's business district. They serve really good coffee and unique,... hearty paninis. The day I visited they were out of a few things like mozzarella. ???? And they do not have any kids optionswhich is a real bummer. Would maybe give them another shot but there are a ton of other places to go nearby with bigger, kidfriendly menus. Read more
