Reviews for Flights Wine Cafe in Arvada, CO
Friendly staff, a very fun and welcoming hang out with great wines and small plates.
Great space. There was live music on Saturday. Happy hour goes from 3-7. The appetizers we had were very good. The cheese plates... are substantial. The wine selection is great. Everyone should be able to find something they like. Read more
Great atmosphere, wine and food! They also have a server/bartender/cook with curly red hair. Absolutely stunning and so nice!!!... I think her name is Ainsley or Amity or something. She seems to do it all. I'd come back just for her, but luckily the food andwine are worth a return trip! Read more
Nice atmosphere and nice staff. The wines weren't cheap (but that's okay), the beer was completely overpriced (even for happy... hour), but the service was *awkwardly* slow. When it takes 15 minutes to get your first drink, 20 minutes to get your bill afteryou request it, and then another 20 minutes to get the card back so that you can sign it and leave, something's not right. (Theonly reason I noticed the time was because one of our friends was trying to get somewhere for an appointment and was becomingworried, so I started paying attention.) That there were two parties of 8 on the lawn was offered as the reason. There wereplenty of empty seats, and plenty of staff (I saw 4 or 5 folks), so I'm giving the benefit of the doubt in surmising that thepoint-of-sale system (or the back-of-house) was the real problem. The service staff seemed to be a little embarrassed by thepace: other customers' verbal comments indicated that they thought the servers had forgotten about them, but the servers clearlyhad not. I really don't like giving a local business a poor review. This one is as high as 3 stars only because we *liked* ourservers and we have fond memories of Flights from when it was in Morrison. We'll be back if we hear that the issues areresolved. Read more
We had a great time here. We came here for happy hour which is from 3-6pm. Seating at the patio and was moved to a gazebo when... it started raining. Nice music, great server. She and the owner gave us a great recommendation for wine. I had the dessertflight, all of which are mellow and yummy. Such a great day to enjoy this little town before we leave. Read more
We drive by this place all the time. And I've always wanted to try it. From the street it looks so cute. But unfortunately it... was not worth the money at all. And whats sad is it has so much potential if the right people were working. Though thegentleman that took care of us was kind he lacked knowledge on the food and drinks. He did say he had just started back butworked there last summer. The wine we chose was delightful but the food was lacking. We ordered the tacos. And they came outon cold corn tortillas that just broke because they weren't steamed or browned. And hardly and meat inside for 15.00 and alsoordered meatballs that came with only 2 for 6.00 and caprese salad that had 3 slices of tomatoes with cheese no balsamic for15.00 total was 70.00 we were so hungry we ended up going to the restaurant down the street. Like I said wine is good but overpriced and eat before you go. Read more
Updated review July 17th, 2021:. Went with a few friends and noticed that the manager was talking to the performer about volume... level. It was a great evening and we could have a conversation with the music in the background. Everything was good, drinks, food, service, interaction with the staff. All good! ----------------------------------- Great place with it's good and badpoints. Let's start with the good and let's say great! Wonderful waitress by the name of Olivia, we wanted for nothing and shewas extra knowledgeable. Answered every question we had. Wines were great, foods were great, ambiance was great and extracomfortable. Social distancing was in place but didn't feel like it as the back is nice and large. We even found a friendthere that we had not seen in quite a while, that just made the evening even better. Everyone was nice and we will be goingback for sure. Now a little bit of the not so great. First we couldn't have a conversation because the band, 2 people, 2guitars and way too much amplification, seemed to think they were a headliner and not there to compliment the evening. This wasan opinion shared repeatedly and not just mine personally. Next, one of the male staff just couldn't accept that the face maskshould be covering nose and mouth, usually hanging below his nose. Finally, waiting to get in at the street, the wait wasexcessive. I dropped off two of my friends while I went to go find parking, when I walked back, about a block so not far, therewas a couple waiting that was walking up as I pulled away, they were waiting long enough that I walked up and stood behind themwaiting, and waiting and waiting, they finally were noticed and then escorted in and I waited and waited again, finally someonecame to the street entrance and I got in. In my opinion that took way too long as there was plenty of staff and not a fullhouse by far. So to wrap this up we plan on going back and introducing this great place to more of our f Read more
