Reviews for J Huston Tavern in Arrow Rock, MO
We had hot chocolate & cookies in the tap room. And then had our ???? taken with Santa.
Not open most of the time. We made reservations for a Friday. Was confirmed day before and then was closed. Friends organization... runs it but apparently has little control over the operation. Said they can't find a cook! Third attempt to eat there withoutluck, plan on somewhere else. Read more
The place is really cool but... The chicken was very dry and it was like it had been under a light. The brisket sandwich was... good and the french salad dressing was great! I am glad I went there once but will probably not go back. The town is worth avisit and eating here is worth the cost but it just won't nock your socks off. The menu is small. The potato's we're good. Read more
There are no words to describe how amazing this fried tenderloin was. This may very well be, the best tenderloin I have ever... had. The breading was crisp and tasty, the tenderloin was thick and tender. Wherever you live, no matter how far away, it isworth the drive! Service was equally awesome!!! Read more

Ate here before the Lyceum matinee show on a Saturday. Excellent food?try the famous fried chicken! We were all very pleased.... Brisket also very good. Staff were very busy and worked hard to get everyone fed before the show?but also very pleasant andprofessional. Be sure and leave plenty of time even though the Lyceum is only a few minutes walk away. We will be back. Read more
The performance of "Sherwood" was THE reason we visited Arrow Rock, MO. I am certain we will be back for another performance.... The acting, sets and venue were all first class, quite unexpected in such a rural, tiny town in the Midwest. The building was achurch at one time, which adds a ton of charm. Seating is comfortable and there is a good number of options for refreshmentsbeforehand, however the prices are too high imo. After the show, there are some great restaurants and shops to check out.
