Went in during rush....our server , Rhonda was AWESOME! Even while rushing around she was friendly and got our order out... promptly. Our order was correct , our breakfast was so good, and is super affordable! Read more
We stopped off at this waffle House and it was very disgusting. The bathroom stunk, the tables were sticky and the menu actually... stuck to my hand when I picked it up off the table. We ordered a waffle and a double order of hash browns with everything onthem. The double order of hash browns came with onions tomatoes and ham only. Not everything that was listed as I asked him toput everything on it. The waffle came a little later it was super super golden brown almost burnt and cold. It would not evenmelt butter. Earlier that day we went to Bob Evans in festus. It was a lot better meal and a lot cheaper and the place was a100% cleaner. I will not revisit that waffle House and I suggest everybody else to beware of it. There's better waffle housesthan that one around. They didn't even offer to do anything about the bad meal. Sam was our server today. He was amazing. There were a lot of people in today and he was the only one on the floor taking orders... and taking care customers. The managers were there just standing around and yelling at him to do things the entire time. I feelreally really bad for employees there. While my service was great because despite not having leadership there and having aserver drowning in customers while everyone else did nothing - Sam made sure to do his job. I would promote him to managerbecause clearly theres some lacking there. Very hard to watch. Very hard to not stand up for him. But didn?t want to make hisday worse with an upset manager. Read more
We had breakfast there on Wednesday morning. They appeared to be fully staffed. Food was good and arrived timely. Our waiter was... Tyler. He could have used some help serving several tables. What really got my attention is when a young waitress name tag wasJasmine asked a guy who appeared to be her boyfriend to move sections. So she could stand and talk to him. He came in after ourtable and surrounding tables but he definitely got served first. Another lady even asked her if everyone pointing in ourdirection had been waited on but she didn't care. Three people working a dinner rush. The manager on duty was only a manager for two days and also the cook. The waitress was... terrible and let us sit for 20 minutes before taking our order and then forgot something. They tried to charge $2.50 for a glassof water. Had no ink in the receipt printer so they asked me to sign a blank piece of paper then after they couldn't figure outhow to refill the ink asked me to pay in cash even tho they had already charged my debit card. Terrible experience and would notrecommend going there until they get their act together. Read more
Does Waffle House ever not impress? If so, I've never experienced it. This location is a little tucked away and weird to get to,... but it was otherwise great. Max (our waitress) and Kyle (our cook) were both fantastic. Friendly, quick, got everything right,and the rapport between them gave us a few chuckles. The restaurant was clean, including the bathrooms, and the food hot, fresh,and delicious. The only negative I have to say about it was that our bill was slightly higher than normal for our regulardishes, but Max and Kyle explained how the prices were recently adjusted and it all made sense. Even with the price increase,it's still the cheapest delicious meal in town. Maybe Waffle House could share some of that with their hard-working employees?Just a thought.
