Not great, that’s my quick summary. La zingara is a Italian restaurant with some of the worst service I’ve ever seen. There... were 4 tables of people on a Thursday night and it took over an hour for are food to come out. Absolutely ridiculous, the foodwas good other than a little cold. I will not be coming back to this restaurant because of the speed of the kitchen. Theenvironment inside is quite nice, really nice actually. First to start - I have lived in Italy twice for a total of 9 years. The owner was at the bar and the waitress as well, I guess... they can’t even afford a separate waitress. There was another guy front of house. I had a dirty martini and it was fine. Iordered the mussels in garlic and white wine sauce. 12 mussels (that’s it) for $15. When I looked , technically it wasexecuted correctly, but there was so much salt in the broth it tasted like the Dead Sea had been poured into it. I told her itwas salty and over seasoned , no idea if she gave the chef any feedback. Then onto the tagliatelle bolognese- I know how tomake a Bolognese sauce from scratch, it’s not rocket science. Again look executed well and - this was under seasoned, bland ,raw carrots and no crush tomatoes or sauce, just chunks of tomato. I ate about a quarter of it and couldn’t take itanymore. 2 things were obvious- this was not an Italian cook, and he didn’t taste the food before it went out. What a hidden gem! My family and I just moved to the area and went for dinner on a Saturday night and were blown away ???? The... outdoor patio was gorgeous - with live music, canopy, lights, flowers - a fabulous ambiance. Our meal was excellent as well. Thefried calamari was super tender, our salads refresh, I ordered the pesto pasta with shrimp and it was perfectly seasoned and myhusband's chicken parmesan was delish. The kids menu was great as well, and my little one was able to order his favorite,mostacholi. The service was very friendly and attentive, especially with the overall shortage of staff in the industry, they dida great job! We came in on a promo through Lolo. What a great surprise! It was a Saturday night, and we weren't sure how busy this would be,... or if we could get in. We were able to get a table at 6, which was perfect. We came in, were warmly welcomed, and seated at anice table along the wall. A musician was playing guitar, and the music selections were perfect for dinner. Our server,Antonio, was attentive, friendly, and always on with refills or requests. The food was made fresh and hot, and flavors very nicefor each dish and app. This is a restaurant passed often as we drive by, and never really knew about. A great gem of arestaurant with nice atmosphere and good food. We will probably come back for a pizza, which they offered with some funcombinations! Read more

We visited the Trattoria for the first time tonight (12/2/22). We were greeted by a big smile, into a warm and lively space. Our... server Colin was extremely knowledgeable and made precise recommendations that catered PERFECTLY to our likings. The food wasexceptional! Been living in close vicinity for five years and regretfully never tried this gem! Jesus, the manager, genuinelycares about providing exceptional quality for his customers. Our only regret is that we cannot give it 10 stars. We are alreadylooking forward to coming back to try everything on the menu! Read more
