I remember going before and enjoying this place, but when three of us ate alfresco tonight it was awful. Grandma and I were... excited to try the new Cortland egg roll, stuffed with all kinds of tasty things. Unfortunately, it literally tasted likenothing. No bacon, no onions, you couldn't even taste the cheese. All you could really taste was the fryer. My mom enjoyedher burger, but the onion strings were undercooked and bland, same with my garlic parmesan fries, mushy and bland. Our waitresswas nice enough, but all three of our drinks were empty the entire meal. Definitely won't be back and I would stronglyencourage them to take that mistake of an egg roll off the menu. This was my first time eating at Cortland's Garage. There were quite a few food options. We sat outside and enjoyed the... ambiance. There were a couple of TVs outside so if you want to watch TV while eating you are able to. Our waitress came to ourtable several times to see how everything was. Read more

Food and service was great. We were able to enjoy the outdoor seating and had a great time. Food was tasty and the portions were... huge! Server was kind and attentive to our table. The kitchen got our food out in a reasonable time frame. We had Buffalochicken egg rolls which were absolutely delicious! Burger and nachos were also very good. Beer was ice cold! I'll start by saying the place isn't bad. It has lots of TV's, great atmosphere and I'd grab a drink. I ordered the burger which... had notes that it was rated one of the best burgers in Chicago. I couldn't figure out why. It was big, had lots of stuff on itbut taste, it seemed very plain. My wife said the same about her spicy chicken sandwich. Not really spicy but then again we eatvery spicy food so to some it may be.My sister and her family enjoyed their food. Went here for lunch and the staff a rude and not attentive. Good locking getting refill on your dink. Food here is bad. I had... the turkey avocado club with a sweet potato fries.
