?BRUNCH? The crab avocado toast! AMAZING! It's not an a piece of bread though, it's on pita bread, but honestly that worked... better than I expected. All the flavors worked so wonderfully together. We had a late brunch here on a Saturday! We had the crab avocado toast and chicken & waffles along with the mimosa flight.... Everything tasted great and I really liked the mimosa flight - lots of interesting tasting flavors! It was not crowded when wegot there around 12:30pm and service was great. Read more

What a cool vibe! I am so excited that this is now open in Ballston. Love the neon drink sign, the variety of seating. Menu is... filled with healthy options (some vegan items and gluten free items, too) and a dash of cheesy dank comfort food so there issomething for everyone if you have friends with allergies. Easily 5 Stars for the Commentary in Arlington, recently launched in a brilliantly designed and modern space, is going to be... one of my new favorite restaurants in the area. The food is *really* good. Modern American fare with well-executed classicsmade with quality ingredients paired with great drinks. We honestly could not decide which appetizer to order because they allsounded so good. Although I am not gluten free, my wife is, and I almost ordered one of the Gluten Free dishes just because itsounded so great. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Also really good service which seems more and more rare these days. Thespace is cool - and open, but not loud at all, which is perfect. We'll be back next week. Kind of a strange entrance if you go in through the hotel. The bartender was very friendly. Not much selection for beers/drinks.... The menu is also pretty limited. The chicken and waffles weren't anything great. I'd bet money they were frozen tyson popcornchicken. The Chorizo Benedict was very good but kind of small. Overall the prices were way too much for the portions, even by DCstandards. Read more
