Cool pizza place in Shirlington, has indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell pasta, wine and ice cream at their storefront... inside the restaurant. Overall the pizza was pretty good, the dough was crisp, chewy and fluffy 10/10 on that! I opted for thepesto sauce instead of tomato and the pesto was very watery, not much flavor. They didn't have any white pizza choice's which isjust my preference, they should incorporate a few options. The focaccia is just pizza dough covered in oil. The squid ink pasta was amazing. Fresh made pasta, an earthy and mild spicy... flavor. Its a rate treat that should be tried whenever you are given a chance. The price was a bit high for a personal sizedpizza Read more
I haven't eaten in the restaurant yet, but i ordered the Valentines dinner for two to go. I cannot praise the quality and... preparation enough. It was a 4-course dinner with a little bit of prep necessary and instructions to make it look and taste likea fine dining experience. It was by the best takeout food I've ever had and that was due to the perfect preparation by Stellina.Also when i arrived the staff was very friendly and courteous. My wife and I LOVE Stellina! We had been to the DC location a couple times and were super excited when the Shirlington location... was announced. We went for opening week and have returned many times. It's one of our favorite date spots. Everything is amazingfrom the salads, to the cocktails/wine/beer and of course the pizza, pasta, paninis and dessert. Tremendous value for absolutelytop-notch modern Italian cuisine. We really enjoyed this place. The food was great and came out quickly. We had the margherita pizza, spicy Piccante pizza,... homeade potato chips, and caesar salad. All were very good. Nice decor. I would definitely recommend this place. Read more
Really liked the cuoppo misto. The BRASATO DI MANZO E UOVA was Braised short rib, fontina cheese, potato croquette, sunny side... up egg. The short rib was on the small side. We also had eggplant parm. Not much cheese and the eggplant was breaded. Read more
The sauces are great. Atmosphere is nice. Chairs are awkward. When I got undercooked pizza the waitress claimed to be the... manager. She claimed water was from the cheese. She doesn't know that melted cheese makes oil not water. Anyways returnedpizza and still have a stomach ache the next day. Read more
