Not sure why this place has so many bad reviews but pre-pandemic, I used to fly out of DCA a lot and would always stop here for... breakfast. They have an awesome egg, cheese, and sausage sandwich, and I would get that with breakfast tots. I went back todayand got the same combo (which totals to ~$12), and it was still delicious. Smashburgers are good. This one is in an airport, so service and atmosphere could be improved. The people serving me did try... hard and my order was delivered to the counter reasonably quickly and exactly as ordered. The only seating is nearby standardairport lounge seats or tables a 5 minute walk away. Read more

Despite the bad reviews I ordered a double bacon smash burger with reg fries. Because I ordered the double I think the burger... was better than if I ordered a single. It was a good size and there was enough to share with my husband. The beef is tasty andthe bacon crisp. Well... the location is in a corner of a terminal, no seating, and dim lighting. Thr staff is friendly and service was fast.... However, I know the name is smashburger...but my burger shouldn't be smashed, barely cooked cheese, and the tots dripping greasefor $16.00 .. the two stars are for thr staff. Walked up at 6:45 to order a burger and fries and was told only chicken fingers and fries. Requested the smash fries and was... told only regular fries. Pretty sad when you are that lazy that you won?t even make your signature items and turn multiplepeople away. You say you close at 7 therefore you should be serving food up until it is closing time!! Bad!!! They literally just sd to me ?only chic fngrs & French fries?, and when I asked is this normal in an airport restaurant... (where the rent the owners must be paying is astronomical) he replied, ? yes it is normal when it?s slow and we close at 7pm.?It was 6:22pm and I watched them turn away at least 8-10 ppl within a 5 minute time period. Service was great & my order was made fast! However, food quality was really not worth the money, even w my lowered standard... since it's a busy airport location. I ordered a double specialty burger (one with Swiss cheese and mushroom). The food qualitywas really, really poor. The cheese wasn't even melted and the buns were soaking wet & it felt like they just slapped everythingin carelessly it was very messy & difficult to hold and eat (also where's my mushroom ): ).
