Update: The pandemic has really hit hard the businesses in the Rosslyn area. Several staple eateries around here have succumbed... to the lack of visitors able to dine in and are no longer doing business. I'm happy to report that Open Kitchen is still quite"open" and serving great food, M-F. I recently had the cheeseburger and fries meal (comes with their signature hot sauce on theside) and it is truly wonderful to eat. Perfect portions - in fact I always have a bit of leftovers. I understand they now havea curry meal and will have to check that out on a later visit. Do give them a try as you try to decide what next to eat inRosslyn. This cafe is really worth visiting. Nestled away on the ground floor of a pretty high-rise commercial building, OpenKitchen has a little bit of everything. Serving breakfast and lunch, I've had a number of their offerings. My breakfastplatter with sausage, pancakes and scrambled eggs was very good, with the right portions for the price. Their burger is verytasty, and I've so far been able to have the meat cooked to my medium to medium-rare preference (that's a request that issometimes hard to find). My first ever bibimbap was theirs - and with a runny egg on top, it's one of my all-time lunchfavorites (by other reviews, that seems to be a hit, too). Today, I tried their fried chicken burger and it was so big, I had topicture it for a review. It was really good and very filling (it's the kind of sized burger that required some mashing down justto fit bites into my mouth). For me, the chicken had the right amount of crisp at the edges along with a really meaty center. I'd definitely get it again - but leftovers are real possibility with this sizable menu option, if you get some fries to tagalong. Shout out to the owners for their siracha mayo concoction that seemingly goes with almost everything on the vast menu.Last but not least, wait times are minimal - the staff is friendly and efficient. Seats are plenty and they have Read more

Love this place! The food is so tasty. For the quality, the price in unbeatable. Honestly the best in the area. The staff is so... friendly. I especially love their bibimbap and their smoothies. If you're in Rosslyn, you HAVE to check this place out! The onlydownside is it is a little hard to find, but worth the search! Read more

I have visited Open Kitchen two times since it opened. It is located in the Arlington Tower in the space that used to be the... Jefferson Cafe. The owner of Open Kitchen used to run the Skywalk Cafe a few blocks away. I wish they had the buffet like theydid at Skywalk. So far, I have only tried the burger and fries, which are good. I have been three times - twice were great, today was awful. Served me a bacon cheeseburger on wheat toast - out of buns... (should have told me at ordering) and it was not very good (tasted like my mom's fake McD when I was a kid on square whole wheatbread. Fries were cold and undercooked too. And, all out of plastic straws. ugh. Just when you think you found a greatoption. Read more
