Mostly known for exquisite wines & cheeses, but has a menu of food & soup & salads too. In beautiful little Shirlington Village... in Arlington Virginia. Very reasonably priced. Read more

I've always wanted to eat at Cheesetique and I've finally got to go. I don't know that it was all that I've ever expected or... desired, but I did enjoy myself. I can recommend the fried cheese curds. They are delicious. The wine flight that I had wasokay, and surely there are greater selections to choose from considering how much wine is there. My dinner was great and theserver was attentive. The establishment is very clean, but not very big, so you are sitting not too far from your seatedneighbors. It's difficult to pin down the sort of restaurant it is versus what they set to be because there are sports ontelevision, you're next to a Mexican restaurant, yet you serve wines and cheeses. Nothing wrong with that at all, but I gain mysense of where I am based on the restaurant's atmosphere, which gives me mixed thoughts. I definitely plan to go back andhopefully my review will be updated. Read more

I hardly ever write reviews, but I'm making an exception here. Let me preface by saying, as a cheese lover I was very excited to... try this restaurant. We drove from over an hour away just to come to this restaurant. I made a reservation online for 8:45pm(earliest we could get there) and yes, I realized they closed at 9pm but I figured maybe they just seat until 9 since there wasa 8:45 timeslot available for reservations. We arrived a few minutes early. The hostess glared at us when we walked in and didnot ask to seat us or anything. We had to tell her we had a reservation. Once seated, the waiter brought the menus and rudelytold us we needed to order immediately if we wanted food because the kitchen was closing. He told us they didn't think we werecoming, although it was still 2 minutes until our reservation time so that made no sense. We had no time to look over the menuand were rushed to order something. Again, I understand we were there right before closing, but why offer a 8:45 reservation ifyou are going to treat your guests like that? The waiter also did not bring us silverware, we had to ask for it after our foodcame. When the food did arrive, we were even more disappointed. The Mac and cheese was cold! The $14 Mac and cheese entreeseemed to be the same size as the $5 side of Mac and cheese. The meat on the sandwich tasted freezer burned. Throughout our mealwe could also hear the staff talking about us and other guests in the restaurant. It was highly unprofessional andinappropriate. All in all, very disappointed. Staff were rude. Food was overpriced and not good. It was a bad experience. Read more

This is one of my favorite spots in Shirlington. The staff is always friendly and the wine flights are always tasty. Last time... we went we got the sassy goat grilled cheese, mac and cheese. And tomato soup. Read more

First time here. I ate way too much!!! I got the "sassy goat" sandwich. It was great!! I went wrong with getting the warm... olives appetizer... not because it wasn't good but because I ate TOO much! Everything was wonderful!! The service wasexcellent. The drinks were great too. This was a treat in DC area for a great dinner. Come early and browse the amazingcheeses and wines they have in the front of the shop. Read more

The panzanella salad was a disappointment. First, there was way to much cubed bread and to little tomato. I think the... proportion should have been reversed. What I got should not be called a salad. A very poor value for $15. I added steak for $6.Didn’t help because it was thin and overcooked. Shrimp would’ve been a better choice. My daughter enjoyed her sandwich verymuch. She has also eaten there before and loved, thus the 4 stars. And we both liked the onion soup as we did the wine. Ourserver was the shining star. Read more

Cute little place to get a cheese and charcuterie board, some wine, and any of several cheese-centric food options for lunch.... The cheese wheel display in the glass case when you walk in made me feel like I was at a specialty cheese store, and I lovedlooking at the wall behind the bar and reading about which wines paired with which cheeses. The board we ordered for lunch wasawesome; I even liked it more than my lunch entrée, which says a lot! Definitely going to have to come back. Read more
