Hadn't been to this location in a few years. It's close to Gateway Park, so it's convenient to walk/drive over for a quick... bite. I visited around 1 pm, so there wasn't much of a crowd. I had a hard time hearing the server through the speaker, but wasable to place my order. The best thing is food is served hot. I had to wait a smidge, but the burger was good. The staff was awful, had to return to the counter to ask a few times for the rest of my order when I received it. The applesauce... I received for my daughter was frozen. The burgers were undercooked and the fries were extremely salty. The sodas were out andcouldn't even get sweet or unsweetened tea because it tasted like has been there for days. The tables were even very dirty. Iuse to love going here as a kid but now it's just depressing. If I really wanted awful service or a depressing meal I would havegone to mcdonalds. Very polite staff good quality food and the milkshakes were great
Took my money and didn't give me the order. I called the shift manager while in the ER and he said he would help. I got released... from the hospital and went to get my refund and they stated that it had been over 6 hours so there was nothing they could do soI needed to call the owner or General manager. I called the general manager David personally and he stated that I wouldn't bethe one to mess up his stores profit margins. Won't be the first time the location is closed due to lack of customer service andpoor product presentation. Read more
Avoid this Steak and Shake, unless you like cold burgers, cold fries served very slowly. There people "working" there. I... walked in to place a to go order. It took them about 20 minutes to cook up my burger and fries and it was still COLD when theyhanded it to me. The bag was stapled shut so you can't check it. I learned they were cold when I got in my car opened the bagto nibble on some fries on the way home. I would have gone back in to have them give me some fresh HOT fries but theirineptitude would have fouled that up too. I live two minutes away from this Steak and Shake and when I got home I found theburger was COLD too. I'm not going back any time soon. And if I see that crew there again I'll just go anywhere else. The customer service was excellent. Unusual because the girl was very young. She was very polite and well spoken. Made sure... my order was correct and all with a smile to boot. I asked to speak to the Mgr and she asked if she had done anything wrong...I said no you did not. She called the Mgr and I told him that her customer services skills were on point. That it wasrefreshing to see that. She smiled and covered her face shyly and the manager and all her coworkers cheered for her!! Niceexperience Steak n Shake!!!! Read more
Little shocked when we walked in. They had the self service kiosk machines. I like the concept especially in these new times..... Hadn't been to this location in a while. It was pretty empty. I thought it was closed when we pulled up. The burgers were goodand the fries were fresh. Read more
Food was fresh. You order at kiosk and get your order at the pick up station. They also have online and delivery options. Leave... a tip for the crew. They do a good job. Read more
